I know this would never happen and its a lot less strong, but i would like the quest reward to be a flip in healing and damage. So on your turn every damage you take is healing and every healing is damage. It would be fun.
Simple: change it so cards/effects that cost life instead of mana don't count as damage.
Stealer of Souls stops counting towards progression and doesn't outright murder the opponent post completion, and simultaneously fixes the issue where it had to be banned out of wild for it's interaction with immune cards.
Win win win.
While i think this is by far the best way to change things, i dont know if that would happen ever since it may require a change in the hearthstone game code itself and we dont know how much work that might be. It could be potentially very easy, it also could be a nightmare depending on how it is programmed.
Gonna be the bad guy here, and state what’s often stated and what’s always true.
It’s wild. It’s going to be an unbalanced mess, and it’s that way by design. It is the inevitability of a format that allows all cards to be played in a game that has thousands available.
YouTube any Vintage (MTGs version of wild) MTG crazy combo, and you’ll see another representation of what happens when you allow any and all cards in deck building.
Turn 6 deaths? In MTG vintage, there are decks that can easily win on the first or second turn.
Well yes, but the major difference between those two games is, that you can actaully nerf cards in hearthstone while in MTG you cant.
So there shouldnt be a reason for wild to be broken. And yes wild is meant to be wild but thats no excuse to let it be „a mess“. It should still be playable and enjoyable. Most of the time it actually is except d5-d1 of course
If you want to play secret mage you can oretty much just craft it. It will probably always stay in the wild meta and it also probably wont get hit by any nerfs whatsoever. But also.... i hate you xD just kidding. But really secret mage is really unfun to play against and to me personally also veeeery boring to play with but you might be different ^^
Your „MMR“ is bound to your bonus stars. Thats why the whole ranks system is basically useless because your rank doesnt say anything. If you have 11 bonus stars at the end of the month and are still at bronze 10 you will still play against people on diamond 5 or other people who have the same bonus
I noticed that every expansion has its dominant archetype. We had more than enough dominant aggro decks, we had a control meta and now we have the first time (i think) where almost every class has a combo deck that can be somewhat playable.
So right now combo decks are everywhere, but long term this expansion brings a lot more variety into wild mode since every class has at least the option to play every type of deck.
And yes i know there will always be the super dominant decks that are played way more in high ranks, but if you play lower than diamond 5 or in low legend it‘s very healthy for the game to have such variety.
Interesting to see how different the experience seems to be from standard and wild. I dont play standard so i just know the wild side.
In wild hunter doesnt have the problem of running out it seems. I played against a lot of them and they had at least 5 cards every time they played the reward.
Mage Quest is pretty much unplayed from my experience. I faced one yesterday and thats it. Same for Druid and Shaman. Never played against one.
Warlock is aaaaaall over the place obviously.
I saw a few Quest Priests but also very rarely. It seems like im the only one who figured out a good Decklist for it and having a win streak with it xD
Oh man, i didn‘t think i would see it but this is rock bottom. How toxic can a community get. The mods made an event which i really have no idea what it could be but it‘s something new. I like it! Keep up your work guys :)
What i don‘t like is this community and their hate/salt comments. You are truly disgusting!
At least in wild priest is still working. I managed to build a somewhat ok version of quest priest. It wins against quest warlock at least about 45% of the time so its still ok.
A limit for played cards would be aweful. It would punish skilled players who are able to play many cards in a short amount of time. If a combo lets you do that its a problem of specific cards. Like in this case Loan Shark and Auctioneer.
People are playing this game for so long and people dont enjoy different new cards anymore. They just want the cards that fit into their favorite decks and everyone should play new but bad cards so they win.
Long story short: people play this game too much or dont have an alternative so they get salty very quickly
This time around i had aweful results for me personally. I opened 1 legendary and 4 epics in 29 packs, but i didnt want any of them really. Going to craft at leadt one legendary i like tomorrow.
I didnt play Hearthstone for about a year. I came back when they changed the Spells in Nature, Shadow, Fire etc. I realy didnt enjoy a Control Meta. Now Aggro Decks are finaly good again and i dont have to play 20 - 25 minute Control vs Control games anymore, because aggro was dead at the time.
HS is a fast pace game with its peak in 5 - 10 minute games. A heavy Control meta isnt good for the game. Nevertheless there still should be a litte Control playable to hold Aggro in Check, but a Control meta was the worst i ever played.
That is just your opinion. You cant say „control meta is not good for the game“ because you just dont like it. I love control matchups and hate aggro, so i would much rather enjoy a control meta.
And back to topic: there a enough control tools, so there is no reason to say otherwise. You just have to adapt to the new cards.
