posted a message on New Druid Card - Mark of Y'Shaarj

Best beast matters druid card. Its definitely good. Pretty stoked. Druid just needs another good beast or beast matters card and the deck might be a thing.

And btw is it just or me, or is the art in this set just by far the best?

posted a message on Upcoming Card - Corrupted Berserker

I've actually thought about what this could be cause I think the art is really cool.

2 mana 3/2, Enrage + 3 health. either this or,

Warrior minion. 2 mana 5/2 vanilla. (already enraged).

Obviously pure speculation, but kind of fun thinking about the possiblities.

Costs one less than Faceless Manipulator. Has Taunt.

Worse baseline stats. Can only target friendly minions. Doesn't copy card text. Much weaker to silence.

But it's still interesting. So... Hrm.

Pretty sure you cant silence off the copy effect. pretty sure. . .

I feel the difference comes in that it's not copying the card. It's copying the stats specifically. And that leads me to believe it can be silenced off. But if I'm wrong, then that point is gone, and it becomes a much better card to me.
Yea if it was able to be silenced it would be a little worse. I think the keyword copy means that it works like manipulator. It's kind of inconsistent but I could see druids running it. If yeti becomes viable again than this card becomes a bit better because hitting your yeti is pretty easy and is a solid play.

posted a message on New Paladin Card - Forbidden Healing
    Quote from Nosajio >>

generally cards that only heal aren't very good (not counting Priest, because healing can also be damage).  Even Shaman's Healing Wave didn't turn out to be as good as most people thought it would be, and IMO that card is way better than this one.

if you're going to have a healing card in your deck, it has to be multi-purpose.  Develop a creature in addition to healing (like Healbot, Farseer, Reno) or draw cards like Lay on Hands.  Card slots are precious in constructed, and it doesn't seem like you can dedicate one to a card that only heals--it's just too weak and passive--I doubt this card will be an exception.

Your kind of right in general, but healing wave didn't see play because a slow shamman deck isnt good right now. It wasn't because healing wave is bad, and going forward a control shamman is possible because of healing wave.

    Wow I love this card.

Seriously, imma put a ring on it. Then in ten years imma cheat on this card with forbidden shaping and forbidden flame.

Don't get to excited man none of these forbidden cards are ground breaking there all very mediocre/average/balanced whatever you wanna call it.
Hey I would generally agree with you man. Except for forbidden shaping (that card is super strong). All these cards are flexible and if they get played that would be the reason, but forbidden shaping is a card you would never feel bad about playing because it scales up so well with the mana you spend on it.
In any case I love these cards for the reason you stated, they are balanced. And my heart sings when i see a flexible card.

Went from rank 10 to 5 today in a couple hours with this little homebrew aggro warrior. Pretty fun. Got  alot of wins by simply catching people off guard cause people aren't playing around cards like rampage.

Now is a good time to make the climb to 5. Basically any decent aggro deck can get you there quickly.

posted a message on Standard. FINALLY!!!

In light of standard being announced, I have to express my feelings not just vocally in my basement, but also on my first thread ever!

    Ugh!!! Standard is finally here!

I have been waiting for this kind of change since BRM came out, which I am now realizing isn't even a year ago, but dang it felt like forever. Blackrock Mountain and every set after it haven't had the huge impact on the meta that I felt GVG and Naxxramas had. New strong decks (patron warrior, secret paladin) have certainly come about since then, but new content just didn't feel like it changed much. With the new format I am excited about three things:

1.) Piloted Shredder, Mad scientist, and Doctor Boom will be gone!!!

2.) The Meta will have a huge shift and hopefully fresh feel at the start of every new expansion rotation!

3.) They will be changing a lot of the classic cards. Note that they have stated they will be looking at the classic set this whole year, and wont be as conservative with their approach to their balance changes.

Blizzard and hearthstone developers get a lot of hate on the forums, and while some of it may be warranted I think we have to give them a little credit for making these changes in what I think is pretty sound fashion. I agree with all the upcoming changed I have read. Hearthstone needs a shake up and its getting one.

Do you guys agree? Who else has waited for what seems like for fricken ever for some kind of standard format to come out? I hope I'm not alone in my joy over this news.

posted a message on New Card - Draenei Totemcarver [Shaman]

Yea I'm having pretty good success so far with this card. We will see once decks get refined and people stop experimenting if this card is still good enough, but I like it. The midrange totem shamman seems to always have a totem out by turn 4, in which case this card is great! Her voice is sexy as hell too.

posted a message on New Hunter Card - Stablemaster

I've said this a couple times now, but this might be my favorite card lol. The card effect is way more situational than houndmaster, but  can be way more powerful. Probably too risky to run two of this in a beast hunter. Love the art, and like the battlecry way more than Ram Wrangler's though (too much rng).

This card is exactly what dragon decks needed. A big proactive body that doesn't give you opponent more minions. So good against piloted shredder.
