Grotowski posted a message on Legend Rank 21 Kookie Wall DruidPosted in: Legend Rank 21 Kookie Wall DruidWhat are your thoughts about Ragnaros? Since I don't have Cenarius, I tossed Rag, and he's doing magic behind the walls. And would you consider more important Cenarius (which I can craft, but still not sure) or Kel'Thuzad?

Kyukon posted a message on Legend Rank 21 Kookie Wall DruidPosted in: Legend Rank 21 Kookie Wall DruidI know you don't see it very often, but what's the general strategy for fighting freeze mage? Try to rush them down? Or can you take it slow and armor up every turn to win?

ActualObama posted a message on Legend Rank 21 Kookie Wall DruidPosted in: Legend Rank 21 Kookie Wall DruidNice deck, man. I'm interested to know your reasoning behind card choices. Ciarne is definitely an interesting inclusion, he's overall seemed to fall out of the meta after Piloted Sky Golem was introduced. Also, why do you run Dr. Boom as the only BGH target in the entire deck? Have you ever considered replacing it for a Sneed's or something to deny them BGH value? Also, what uses have you found for Loatheb? Loatheb seems to be another inclusion not typical of a ramp heavy deck.

Yeah you can throw ysera in that works. Just adjust your playstyle a bit so that your gameplan is to stall the game to a point where Ysera can safely come down and take over

Should do it like a swarm deck, with no growths. :D

Thanks mate a lot of thought went into this.

For sure. TBK, Syl, or Harrison are all good replacements.

Since you usually want to have a wall set up, as long as you get a Kel'Thuzad with one minion it's instantly super valuable. Even the 6/8 for 8 mana isn't bad. And if you can get Kel'Thuzad with 2 minions, you pretty much instantly win the game. It serves as one of your win conditions. I used to feel the same way about Kel'Thuzad, but he seems to mesh significantly well with the wall concept. Thanks for the comment!

While I did pass Rag originally in the deck, I used to run decks like this that included Rag. Rag is a very good substitution that was a very good choice. Cenarius is one of my personal favorite cards as well, and is a big part of the deck. If you're really into Druid, Cenarius would be a good craft in my opinion. Thanks for the question!

Hi, sorry for the delayed response Kyukon! To answer your question:
Freeze mage is kind of a toss up, it depends on if they have the damage to finish you. Basically the game plan is to try and fish for Ancient of Lores. Hero powering whenever you can plus 5 heals from Ancient of Lore can help you withstand the Freeze's ability to finish you. Once he throws Alex, if you have Lores ready to heal yourself, then you pretty much win. However, if you don't have any, then you might be toast ^_^. Hope this helps

Hi m617, to answer your question:
I like Cenarius as it adds a very unique role to the deck. It's a good way to make your wall stronger by giving a buff to a large board. That being said, it's not like you can't play wall druid unless you have it! I'd recommend some other sort of late game powerhouse, maybe Ysera or Ragnaros! I have been thinking of playing Ysera in place of SOMETHING for quite some time, if you have the card maybe it would work in Cenarius's spot? If you don't have either feel free to let me know and I'll think of some other subs for ya if you want. Thanks for the question buddy
