Tell me about it Legend is basically paladin aids right now. Are paladins aggro, midrange, or control right now cause they seem to begin pressure turn 1 curve perfectly and also remove all your threats.
Playing at low legend and I like this deck concept, but it’s just a pally fest in legend and there is no way you are able to clear board and retain lightning bolts for final combo. Maybe I will play this in casual until the pally tempo nightmare ends.
Paladin is an absolute joke right now. They have the most abusive deck on the ladder. In an expansion where a lot of removal and cycle mechanics were taken out of rotation paladin has retained its massive board developing tools. Divine shields, big 6/6-8/8 minions which also come with either a heal or a 3/3 weapon, secrets that are drawn into play develop board and counterspells. Blessing of might , blessing of kings, bless my ass with 24 stats. It’s just ridiculous and it’s all anyone is playing at legend because frankly they want to win. Shit is stale and I am having way less fun than I did at the Faire.
I’m seeing rogues and paladins everywhere. Sad thing is there decks are the same retarded ass decks from last exp with new legendaries slash board buffs. No originality coming out of the rogue community literally seeing same old stealth and combo.
I haven't been this hyped for an expansion for a while. The different schools of spells, Core set, classic mode, Mercenaries. Can't wait! :D
I do love the spell schools reminds me of WoW pvp I just wonder if there will be cards that allow us to lock our opponent out of specific pools for a turn. Basically an interrupt mechanic seems likely or why else bother labeling spell pools? That being said poor fel and fire are kinda lacking with about 20ish spells whereas other pools have anywhere from 40-100 spells in their pool. Either way excited to see what it leads to.
Looking forward to trying out a frenzy warrior deck. Only complaint I can think of currently (while we have limited info on how meta will unfold) is new Warlock cards suck ass. 2 mana summon 3/2 imp 5 mana summon (2) and 10 mana summon (3) minions that won’t see the next turn. Yeah that probably won’t even see play in a zoo deck. If zoo sees turn 10 it’s because the user can’t find the concede button.
Am I the only person who thinks goldens are to be disenchanted and never crafted? Only goldens I have I’m pretty sure are basic class cards lol. Golden cards are free dust is all.
Currently the only time I see Ysera is when new Ysera creates it in a Druid deck. So not sure how this is even going to impact much, but I don’t play much wild so maybe that’s where the impact lies.
I would wait see how the new meta pans out and from there you can make any choice you like from any expansion and choose your main format at same time. However if you are more set to standard play then definitely just wait, good things come to those who are patient.
148, bought pass like a week into January. Went like 5 levels today which seemed kind of insane though. I’m still sitting on like 4 quests too so I thought that was odd.
Same got to D1 with Ctrl lock twice and hammered back to D5 with like a string of stealth rogues who win game with three cards (self sharpening, nitro boost, and any 1 cost stealth minion). Or gibberling Druid with nasty mulligans, then when you do get a nice ctrl matchup it’s probably vs a priest who is just going to play your deck and his against you. It’s rough living the ctrl life but someone’s gotta do it. Like I said before in a post I’m playing warrior for now even though I want to play my warlock so bad.
Plenty of decks out there that actually run 0 minions and have great winrates so not sure about this. Also warlocks are dead by turn 6 in this aggro meta even zoo is getting out “zoo’ed” by other aggro classes. Not to mention of all the new cards warlocks actually seem the weakest. I actually had a player tickatus me 3 times today and he still lost match it was kind of sad. I had built a great board and had a decent hand by the time he hit 8 mana so his 15 card burn was not even a factor.

I’m eating mages for lunch meanwhile paladins are running wild on a one way express pass to legend and no one is saying much about that...

Primordial protector cost 8 mana lol hope you have a game plan for all the aggressive board tempo rogue and paladin are putting forth turn 1-7

There’s just no way your getting past tower combo rogue without bloom to cheese out guardian animals or celestial.
