Great change! It is still a great value, but you still need to make a tough decision to include it in your deck since there are other great 5 drops.
Well, with Belcher going bye bye in Standard mode, I could see slipping in a BGH to deal with a big minion (no more Dr. B but there are still a lot of others out there not to mention what's coming with WotOG).
don't play >=7 atk minion... pay no heed about this...
But if you play a Boulderfist Ogre on turn 6, your opponent could play Abusive Sergeant (1 mana) to boost it to 8 attack, then BGH it to kill it. If you're in Wild mode, there's also the Whirling Blades spare part that could boost attack into BGH range. Never underestimate a player's ability to get rid of a pesky enemy minion.
This. Savage Roar is a ridiculous card. Glad the Force of Nature change hasn't completely killed the card or at least, it still looks like it may be playable, although I'm probably being too optimistic.
Combine FoN on turn 10 with Frostwolf Warlord and you've got at minimum 13 damage on board (3 2/2s plus a 7/7), not counting what might have survived till then -- that's four minions your opponent has to deal with unless it's a Paladin with an active Sacred Trial.
Taking Roar up to 4 mana (putting it on par with Bloodlust in Shaman, same effect with 1 less attack per minion) would have had similar impact, with added bonus of making it harder to double Roar with Innervate.
I bet Blizz will have to take some time from introducing wildly new cards, as they'll have to fill up all the empty space that the new format will introduce. Without GvG the number of Mechs is a grand total of 5. Not sure if I wanna return back to the Classic times when the Mech sub-type was purely decorative, especially now with Gorillabot A-3.
I only counted 3 -- Harvest Golem, Alarm-O-Bot and Demolisher, 4 if you include the Damaged Golem deathrattle. Where are the other 1 or 2? That's certainly not enough to make Gorillabot viable in Standard decks, ironic since it was just released in LoE. Hopefully they're going to be adding a few new mechs.
I find it slightly ironic that in LoE they introduce a card that depends on mech synergy (Gorillabot), then they delete almost every mech from Standard mode; only mechs left will be Harvest Golem (and its deathrattle), Demolisher and Alarm-O-Bot. Either they've got plans for more mechs in the next expansion or Gorillabot becomes a dead card for Standard players.
Without the cheap 1-mana spells from spare parts, you're not going to be able to drop Antonidas on turn 8, slap an Armor Plating on it or a Rusty Horn on another minion and start the Fireball Express.
Judging from how Kibler plays Flash Heal, it's more for extra damage/lethal with Auchenai on board. I don't have Paletress yet but if I craft her I might take out an Auchenai in exchange.
I took out one of the Blastmages and put in Sneed's -- it's usually good for drawing out polymorph if I'm playing against mage before Antonidas comes out. Haven't gotten either of the gorilla bots out yet so can't tell how useful they are.
Might be Blizzard time (Pacific Standard Time, USA), perhaps 10am which is when things usually go live with game companies in the US. Still the 11th, shortly after 8pm as I'm typing.
The interesting thing is how they said that Warsong was limiting design space. Whether that means the change was made beause Patron Warrior as a deck was holding back deck variety or that a future card in an upcoming adventure would be abused by Warsong is the real question.
I'd say the former -- maybe they want to add more 3 attack cards (neutral and/or Warrior class) but saw how those would just be added with Warsong.
There'll still be some hate for Unstable Portal -- I'm surprised they haven't changed it to summon any non-legendary minion. Or summon a random Wisp. :D
But yeah, Secrets Paladin will be the next target, but being that it just became viable with Mysterious Challenger I don't see Blizzard doing anything about it for at least a year. And I believe the Warsong nerf was aimed less at Grim Patron than it was Frothing Berserkers.

It does give you a bit more control over when the secret is played -- kills me when I get Effigy up before my 5+ mana minons hit the board.

I'd probably mix in a second Consort with all those dragons, plus a Consecration perhaps.
