i'm just surprised how so many streamers especially and many of the people i've read on forums say these nerfs are not a big change
yes, they are. it actually feels pretty awkward and terrible when it only hits for 4, especially there are quite a couple 5 health minions out there that you can't kill off right away, so it basically does not much at all
warglaives at 6 is also horrendous, soo much tempo loss and you really want to play other stuff on 6
tempo kayn with 4 health is pretty much out of the question except for emergencies
to sum it up, these changes are pretty damn huge and shouldn't be underestimated (guess you can see that in winrates)
You're right only about one thing. warglaives at 6 competes a lot with other cards. But at least now you have to make some sacrifices in your deck building, instead of just cramming every OP answer to everything. Isn't it ridiculous how much draw and removal DH has on top of it's insane dmg?
4 or 5 makes little difference, because if you were forced to use it on 5 hp minions, you were already doing bad, especially if you can't muster 1 extra dmg, when THE WHOLE POINT OF THE FRICKIN CLASS is having dmg in hand...
same with tempo kayn. if you were forced to tempo out kayn, were you gonna win that match anyways? Just like leroy will always has a place, same with kayn, because the ability is just busted for face decks.
If DH was fine for a couple months with busted winrates even after numerous rounds of nerfs, what's so wrong with it now having bad winrates? Not that it will happen.
Are you sure you made to legend with this deck? Because you're dead so face decks, and have less value than control decks. Many times I have no cards left and my opponent generates many. It lacks punching power and finishing moves, removal destroys your own board state, no silence or single target removal, and the big combo is having drawn 1 card and costs 10 mana...
'Screwing lower ranked players' You have a little complex of superiority. If you're getting matched with diamonds 10-8 players it means that you have their same MMR, cause the first option to get matched is by similar MMRs so let's say you have an MMR of 1783 (To say a random number) and these diamond players you're facing have the same MMR then you'll get matched with them. While MMR is not the perfect measure for skill it's probably one of the best ones, players with similar MMR should have the similar skill, at least on the long run. So stop being a condescending prick.
But my point is why do I have similar MMR? Why after reaching legend, I can drop all the way down to gold MMR? Why in a couple of days, my MMR can go from mid plat to high gold and back to diamond 5??? My skill obviously did not change, only the decks I played and how serious I was. So when I want a challenge, I first have to screw over lower ranked people who are grinding just to reach my level again... And If I ever want to fool around some with some new deck, I will again trash my MMR, and round it goes.
Dude, i was getting matched up with gold and plat players too in the beginning. What else would you call me encountering gold 1 or plat 6 or plat1 player but srewing them? Should I ever be matched against them, just because I tried some hipster decks and trashed my MMR? And in a couple of evenings I rose from 3600 to 1700 legend rank. Do you honestly think why MMR was correct when I was playing against Plat 10 players on the same day I reached legend?
The way it currently is set up, MMR is wildly inaccurate.

Good riddance. Fast decks should always be extra punished because matches being short means it's far more efficient to play idiotic face decks.
