jinstronda posted a message on Shaman is not that strongPosted in: General Discussioni see everyone complaining about galakrond shaman but their entire game plan is around 2/4 8\8s what everyone can easily beat playing an aggressive deck (killing before the galakrond) or a control deck (killing the 8/8s until you have enough value)
that deck is not even that strong people just don’t know how to save removals anymore
by the way tempo rogue is waaay stronger

baldwindoidao posted a message on A Question to Asian players (in particular chinese)Posted in: General DiscussionHello all!
I just played on Asia with subpar decks to get my dailies done and twice in a row i played people with a certain behavior: As soon as they got an upper position in the game they started emoting me (greetings/amazing) and continued so til the end of the game.
I have noticed this behaviour in an extended manner on asia region and (from what i can read/distinguish) especially or solely from chinese players. I would like to understand, where that comes from and if that is a cultural heritage.
Question: Can an asian player or any player with profound knowledge of asian/chinese culture explain to me, why you would mock an opponent, who is on defense and not in good shape on the battlefield in a rude and condescending way?
(from what i observed, it is common on asia region and especially from chinese players)
u're just tilted dude...everyone does that in any server...it's the soul of the game, mock ur foe untill he quit or just kill itself in the bathroom later...any outcome is welcome =)

moon_of_venus posted a message on The true skill in HearthstonePosted in: General DiscussionThere is no such a thing like skill in this game. Let me explain why. (:
First of all, the game is BASED on LUCK and RANDOM EVENTS. Which means that skill can't change the game. You can't change the way the cards work or influence which cards you discover, etc.
People who can reach legend every month use their OWN ABILITIES. Abilities related to THEM, not to Hearthstone. Analyzing, patience, thinking, etc. This is not an "in-game" skill. They are smart and can think well enough. They can analyze well enough. They KNOW and REMEMBER things. Let's say you have three minions on the board as Mage against Quest Shaman. Will you play the Power of Creation? No. Because your opponent might have MCT in their hand. Is that a skill? Yes. But not related to the game. It's related to your own self.
A skill is something that impacts the events and is produced by its "owner". For example, let's say two teams play a football/soccer game. One team starts with four goals advantage. The other team wins. Now that's a in-game skill. They used THEIR OWN ABILITIES BUT RELATED TO FOOTBALL to turn the game around. In Hearthstone it's not possible. (: If one player has advantage, the other can play only the cards they have in their hand. They're restricted to that. They can't make any impact. If they don't have the right cards, they lose. Simple.
I'm ranked 8. Give me a "better position" in a game against legend-ranked player. If they don't their best card, they'll lose. Luck!
Give me a better position in chess against higher ranked player. They'll win because they will make better moves. Skill!

MoonUnit posted a message on [card]Mirror Entity[/card] becoming worse and worse over the yearsPosted in: Card DiscussionIts really only ever as good as Tempo Mage, which is weak in standard right now. You'd play it early while curving out threats so the opponent didn't have the mana to respond with a small minion into something that could contest your board. It was also better when run with Explosive Runes because no one wanted to drop a 1/1 into that.

My turn 9.
Vs a 30/30 ancient one, played zeph with 4 mana remaining. I get offered Defender of argus, sap, and SW:death. No transform of any kind. I get that there's no deathrattle on the thing, but jesus, aren't there 3 options for a reason? Resurrection IS a thing in both standard and wild, why is offering a transform such a last option?

As it stands right now, Reno’s hero power is extremly weak
Mainly because you can only use it once per game which is an extreme hadicap in itself , why even make it cost 4 gold?
I recon even at zero gold , people will struggle to get reno ahead.
What are they afraid of? You rushing out a tripled wraith weaver? Or rat pack?
