The alternative game mode is nice for the hardcore players. They went a bit far however, the low win spectrum needs a bit better rewards or the entry fee needs to be cheaper, say 750-800g. The decision to not have normal tavern brawl (with a free pack) is a horrible one however and needs to be overturned. Personally I won't play this and it will have an overwhelmingly low participation rate for sure until blizz reduces the gambling portion of this mode.

The first wing of BRM is more than worth it since you get some nice cards including emperor, quick shot and grim patron.

I think emperor will be an auto include in a lot of new decks since the game is trying to shift to a more midrange/control meta with the new expansion.

The packs are nice but if you're really playing that often you should be able to get 1 pack a day. 25-30 or so packs are needed to get most of the commons and a decent number of rares.

BGH doesn't pay anything for it's effect. 

The healthy way to change the card would be to up the mana cost by 1 thus making it cost 4 mana or to reduce the stats to 3/2 or 2/2 (even 3/1 could work and it would still be valuable).

It is going to be needed in a lot of decks especially since WOG is trying to move towards a slower meta with the introduction of many expensive 7+ attack minions.
