It could be my most loved expansion, but of course they had to print corridor creeper, which of course even control decks run now.

Hope they nerf it to 10 mana :(

But at least they gave me dragoncaller alanna which I put immediately in my kaza mage, and it's been my favourite deck to play since forever.

But that's likely a bug since Blizzard guaranteed a legendary in the first 10 packs of an unopened new expansion with an official developers note. Then pity timer should've granted you another one and that's another well estabilished fact by the community.

I'd try to open a ticket on the blizzard support page, maybe they'll refund you somehow. At least they should refund you the 1 in 10 legendary.

10 in 106 seems very decent to me

53 (preorder + brawl) + around 55 from gold + 6 from freebies so = 113 then arena until december ends and then i'm gonna start saving for the next expansion.

Thanks guys, especially if you read everything, only after i clicked on post i realized that my story was THAT long! _:D

So after a slim 5-3 with a hunter-mage, I used my second ticket and drafted a pala-warlock, I don't have the decklist because I thought it was  average since minion quality was close to crap, little did i know it would come to be this amazing.
Deck was drafted in the form of zoo, had token generators (feeding time, lost in the jungle, forbidden ritual, vine cleaver) some buffs (blessing of kings, blessing of might, dinosize,) and some powerhouses like defile, equality, truesilver champion, despicable dreadlord, bonemare and best of all DK Uther which blessed me with the best conclusion of them all, but i'll save this for later.

I went  undefeated in the tipical zoo manner until my 10th win, then I lost against a warlock-druid that casted living mana after I cleared his spreading plague with defile.

Then I went close to the second loss against an hunter which also casted ultimate infestation, but a lucky topdeck of dinosize seized me victory at the last second.

Then I faced my last opponent: a mage hunter.

At eleven wins I thought immediately of an insane face deck and it was true, luckily I managed to resist thanks to equality + despicable dreadlord on turn 7. When we both had three cards in hand I played DK uther and healed myself, since I had two dark conviction in hand I was prepared to face anything while I spammed my 2/2s which he desperately removed.
The turn was when I had a 6/5 loot hoarder and the 2/2, he puts an obvious freezing trap in play, I attack with the 2/2 and put it back in my hand. Realizing what he had done, he started to desperately remove my knights and only them, but you can't have infinite flamestrikes.
So after I got two different knights, I emoted with all my might and put the third knight in play from my hand, hero powering for the last one to spawn and the APOCALYPSE to end the match with him at 20 hp! this netted two packs (80 dust) and 400+ gold.

Tl;dr: I won my 12th match with the insta-win from DK paladin. Hype ensued.

Use heartharena drafting tool if you play on pc, even just for drafting, it helped me immensely to get better at it, and now i can comfortably draft without it.

Also I watch a shitton of kripp he's one of the best if not the best arena player and he always gives motivation for every pick he makes so you can understand the values of the cards.

I assure you that you can get better at it, I went from 3 wins average to a solid 5-6 and i'm not an avid arena player at all!

Personally I ranked with it from 15 to 4 losing only twice, the two losses were jade druids who hit the perfect curve.

I think that when you hit rank 4 to 3 you have to play perfectly and also be lucky with your draws, in my experience (at least on EU ladder) around that rank people are very good at playing what they're playing and if you don't match their level they're gonna crush you mercilessly.

I see this deck like the old grim patron warrior, tier 3 in the common user hand, low tier 1 in good hands. Now that i'm stuck between rank 3/4 i can say that with my skill level i'm not playing it at it's best potential and i lost at least 5 games because of my miscalculations when comboing or misplaying removal. Also if raza or DK are in bottom 5 cards assume you already lost 99% of the times.

Tempo rogue and Jade druid are still vastly superior because they can pressure you even if their best cards are buried in the bottom 5, removing at least a good percentage of the "draw" factor.

I must say hated razakus like crazy but after I opened DK: anduin (thanks summer games!) and tried it it's a fun deck, because it makes you think to an extension and it's not completely braindead. It can be frustrating to play against, but remember UI and Exodia mage, aren't they frustrating as well?

I hate that it can steal way too many cards for a single class, it's infuriating! If it didn't have that fucking mechanic (rogue may be included as well) i wouldn't wish the death of every priest player!

As a Johnny player (that you are even arguing 'fun or power' means you don't feel that power = fun, so you aren't a spike, and 'brewmaster pally' sounds like a deck you made and enjoyed for how off beat it is) going for the #1 TOP DECK OF ALL TIME is pretty much going to be a bad choice for you unless it just happens to be the deck you already jumped on.  People play jade druid because they are spikes and to them competing and winning is fun no matter what they play.  That's not you.  There's no point pretending that's you.

 

 

So what to do?  In truth I'd wait.  I imagine the 'decks you are losing to' consist of druid, druid, and druid.  That you say 'control pally' rather than 'murloc pally' makes me think that the nerfs won't affect your decks but WILL affect your opponents'.  As such instead of dumping a ton of dust into a deck you may not enjoy, you need to check to see if paladin will have a fighting chance after the changes.  It might, given that Innervate was a critical way for Druid to out do control decks.  In the least, it'll be good to see if Jaina's mage deck holds up over time: right now it's not looking good for the deck.

If you want to craft something, go ahead, but I'd avoid it if it's asking for multiple legendaries, at least for now.  

Because maybe people that have played the latest decks can correct me and make me see the fun of it, maybe they can help me see things that i'm not seeing atm.

Here I am again with another dust thread.

Lately I'm getting very bored with playing hearthstone, can't seem to find any decent deck that makes me enjoy the game.

I had a great time with my control pally and brewmaster pally but the abysmal WR against meta decks (mostly because they have access to exceptionally good card draw, while I must rely on iffy acolytes of pain) has driven me away from my favourite class. I tried jade druid and mid pally but I can't seem to enjoy them for more than two matches, I actually despise the gameplan they have.

I found a list on a certain website which has piqued my interest, It has DK jaina, Alex and baron geddon, seems like a viable control mage but i'm not sure about it. Then i looked some lists of highlander priests and i'm missing raza, the DK and prophet velen (not necessary maybe) but I absolutely hate Priest and more times than not I just wish they delete the whole class.

So here's the questions: Dk Mage or Dk priest?

The first one can make me have fun again and make me craft some classic legs i'm missing, and for example I could put alex in my handlock which can be a nice fit. But i fear I'll fall into frustration against meta decks.

The second is undeniably stronger since DK anduin is crazy AF and I have almost all the cards and also it'll maybe be the top dog once the nerfhammer finally comes around. But I hate it.

So help me decide dear users, what would you choose? Fun or power? or maybe a middleway (for example I could craft DK valeera, Alex and Dk anduin for the future)

Yes, I don't have a full classic collection so whenever a classic legendary gets an important spot in the meta I craft it as fast as possible.
