I am slightly dissapointed by jade druids all over my ladder. I cant force myself play ladder anymore. Probably i will stop on rank 20 next month. I am little angry and sad because of losestreaks to jade druids.

    curses on you, jade druids!

Brode on Jade Druid during Q&A session, post Questrogue nerf
"Jade Druid is a problem we are considering but it really isn't a big enough problem right now numbers-wise"
Well what the fuck is it now, and why would you release outrageous support cards for a class that is already a problem...?
You know what real card games do when there's some bullshit being released that can be abused in an utterly degenerate deck? They drop the banhammer or make a ruling to prevent that shit from happening. Blizzard could do a million and a half things to make Druid not completely overpowered, and yet they don't. And of course, even if they did, the problems with recent card design, all stemming from their seeming obsession to give every deck endgame tools that will make it impossible for anybody who isn't playing a specific archetype to win, another deck will rise and take it's place. With Death Knights and with quests they have cemented an expectation that control isn't viable unless you have an infinite value generator with no drawback (sulfuras, Druid DK hero Power Jades, particularly with Idol) so people turn to combo that focuses on zero interaction, because all of these decks can't be outclassed except by bigger and bigger bullshit.
And fun cards like Yogg are the problem because you can't interact with them...?
Bitch, You can't interact with Jade, And Jade doesn't require 20+ turns to actually be good and potentially fuck over the player who used it. Same with Quests, Same with Death Knights.
Why don't the devs understand this?
TL;DR fun game isn't fun anymore because of stupidity and poor design choices.

I have just uninstalled the game from all of my devices.

3 3-3 arenas in a row because of unbelievable bullshit and inconceivable luck on my opponents' part

I am not playing poorly, I am playing with very few misplays and thinking carefully about each move.

Coupled with how awful standard metagame is right now, ostensibly because

    A. Nobody tests this game...

    B. The people who test this game are idiots who suck at game design...

    OR

    C. The people who test this game are hardcore casuals who enjoy losing.

And come on, this is yet another instance of me facing a druid with absolutely outrageous cards

I mean, 2 ramps with Jade Idol and when I start actually controlling the board he plays Spreading plague, which i clear, then he plays Infestation, kills my only guy, draws 5.

Next guy was a warlock who did the same thing with DOOM then played Bloodreaver.

WHAT DID THIS DECK LOSE TO TO BE 3-1!?!?! can I get some actually feasible 3-1 decks instead of constructed quality idiocy!?!?!

No, I concede. Blizzard isn't getting another cent out of me. I'm going to go play a game that actually rewards skill rather than punishing bad luck.

I have one to top all the rest.

I'm currently 1-2 with a 70 point paladin deck that looks like this www.heartharena.com/arena-run/07t49d

For those not inclined, I've got Tarim, I've got Death Knight, Bonemare, Volcanosaur, Spikeridged steed, peacekeeper, 2 rallying blade smuggler's run, even good fillers like protector, yeti, worgen etc.

For all intents and purposes, this deck really should win no fewer than 5 games, having a wide assortment of decent cards and more than enough power in the late game.

So in round 1 i get a really herp derp lucky mage that's playing BS mage shit, meteor etc. he gets super lucky and gets lich king off of stonehill defender and out values everything Oh well, they drew better quality cards so whatever. probably an 8+ win mage first goddamn game

Rd 2 almost lose to a shammy who just completely curves perfectly and has dumb shit too but I play eggnapper into Tarim and he doesn't play around tarim so i win anyway.

    Round 3 is a druid

He plays turn 1 Enchanted raven into turn 2 mark of the wild, killing my turn 1 coined 2 drop, then proceeds to drop Aya on turn 4 with innervate then equips both golems with mark of the wilds # 2 and 3 and Strongshell scavenger to kill me on turn fucking six while i can't do anything

    Just wow...

I usually get around 6-7 wins inb4 play better, and this guy wasn't a long queue or anything. I mean 1-1?!?!?!?!

Druid actually deserves an around the board nerf to all of their bollocks. I play arena so I don't have to play against cancerous jade and aggro druid decks, and i don't expect to see 12-0 better than constructed decks at 1-1 ffs

C'thun, Vek'lor, Shieldbearer, Disciple, Chosen. All good cards. I actually think the cultists are a good reason to run C'thun, rather than the other way around.

I dunno man. If I try for volume arena, I always finish like 5 wins or so, when I do it every so often, it's like 7+ wins.

Varian is bad tbh. Unless you want to play tempo warrior, there's no reason to enchant him. The latter would be better, particularly if they are the last good cards from classic/TGT you need. Classic is a giant set an unless you have TGT, there is little purpose in buying a lot of those packs just for one specific epic. Tome, you might try to open more WOG to get. If you need it now though, it is probably worth the dust.

Let me know which part confused you and perhaps I can break it down for you.
Okay. I can't seem to comprehend why you are mega super salty about a very good outcome..? But I guess you are annoyed by the RNG circus that is this weeks brawl? In that case I can relate.

Idk what the problem is. This brawl is real fuckin' easy. Haven't lost one yet, 10-0. You just play on curve. Mulligan for 3 zerus and play the 2/3 mana guy you get then go from there. Don't play any shitty 1 drops or anything though.

I pulled Tinkmaster Overspark. I hate tinkmaster. He always makes my minion worse but my opponent's minion better. It's actually hilarious how bad my luck is with it. I recorded my results in 25 games with tinkmaster and only once did it hit the right target and turn it into the right thing.

    Fuck Tinkmaster Overspark.

On the positive side, though, now I have the worst card (for me) in the game.

posted a message on Control is just as easy to play as aggro, stop deluding yourself.
    Quote from TheWamts >>

    As title.

Control plays as linearly as aggro. While you have to worry about is clearing a board, aggro worries about their board getting cleared. And guessing what board clears are in your hand is a lot harder than looking at the board and counting the health of enemy minions.

And you'll say oh, but Aggro can win just by dropping a perfect early curve if I have no answers. Right, you'll lose if they open a good hand and you open a garbage one. The same applies for literally any other deck.

And then people think,  oh Aggro only goes face, so that's just dumb. Well no, they don't.  It only feels that way because you never put down a board to trade into, or otherwise the trades are so horribly inefficient that it makes no sense to.

So yeah, no deck is harder to play than any other deck, now let's all enjoy this horrible children's card game.

Control requires you to think far ahead to win sometimes. You have to weigh how much damage you can take before you have to act. In Hearthstone, control is different from other games because you have to play like an aggressive/midrange deck to get to the midgame. Let's use the example of Control Warrior. They run War Axe, a couple small minions for utility and the rest of the deck is 4-10 mana cards. When I play CW, I focus on minimizing the potential for the opponent to stay on the board and remove my midgame threats. War Axe, Ghoul, sometimes you have to shield slam/execute for tempo, doomsayer etc. You also have to think a few turns out as to "what's the worst case scenario?" For instance, against Shamans, I will mulligan for Shield Slam, War Axe, Slam, Execute so that I can hopefully deal with Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, Flamewreathed on turn 4. since this is fairly rare to simply hit this, and considering they might be on the play, Brawl would be nice but it is not as safe as simply trying to disrupt the first few turns of tempo. Again, knowing what hits you can and cannot take is essential, since Brawl is one of the only real value cards in the deck.
So yes, and no, control has more similarities to aggro than in other games, but that has more to do with the way that the game is, rather than the nature of control in general.
Control also requires you to have a working knowledge of a large number of your opponents' decks, so that you know what to counter/destroy. Wasting a removal spell on something and then getting a much better card dropped on you is very likely to lose you the game. The progression of the game is to try to handle early game while putting together a late game strategy without using too many removal/power cards. compared to Aggro's "try and maximize damage output for the first few turns and then,if that didn't end the game,...maaaaybe win if i can topdeck my last damage???" Certainly, there are a lot of calls that need to be made in this, and I would argue that playing perfect aggro is also very difficult, but there is a lot of depth to control and they are often far less straightforward than aggro decks.
Your argument "if you get a bad hand, you are going to lose" has nothing to do with any of this. Yes, decks always have a curve. Even slow decks have a curve.
If you don't believe me, try to play freeze mage/miracle rogue/patron warrior. Anybody who says that control is as hard to play as aggro needs to do this (and yes, I am aware that these are considered combo decks, but they are the most similar decks to what I would consider a true control deck, owing to the "stay alive until you can win" strategy.)

posted a message on Yogg, Fandral or Nzoth?

If you want to win, get the card that you can use in the most decks with success.

Yogg is the most fun card in the game as far as I'm concerned, but you need a decent deck to make it work. I will say though, it is a good choice for a player without the strongest decks, since it is going to be a lot better in decks that want to win/stabilize from behind.

N'zoth sorta needs Cairne and Sylvanas to be worthwhile.

Fandral is good but only if Druid is your top deck.

If you don't have Ragnaros, Cairne, Sylvanas, or Harrison, I would get those first, unless you want to yogg for fun.

    Poorness, poorness in my collection.

    Opened :

    King Krush

    Tirion Fordring

    Deathwing

    Sylvanas Windrunner

    Yogg-Saron, Hope's End

    Crafted :

    Justicar Trueheart

had Ragnaros the Firelord but younger brother disenchanted

That's actually a good collection man. You can do a lot with that.

Seriously, about 85% of my legendaries are specific to maybe 1-2 archetypes. Sylvanas is awesome, Yogg is very good for decks that want to play from behind, Tirion is superb, sorry about your Rag though. Krush is actually a leg I would like to have, I managed to get Gaz and Dreadscale, but neither of them is as good (Gaz is good but usually off of webspinner/Tomb Spider)

The best part is that you are probably going to keep getting stuff you don't have to worry too much about duplicates.

Don't craft it unless it is pretty much the only thing you are missing or if you really like to play control and/or spend a lot of money and time getting cards.

That being said, Alex is so good in this deck that even not having Tony or thalnos is a mere setback, rather than a limitation that would kill the deck. She is also very good in a wide variety of control-style warrior decks and all sorts of dragon decks can use her as well.

If you want to build any of these decks, Enchanting Alex is a very good idea.

So yeah this thread is dead, but excuse me while I post this game I just had because it really doesn't go anywhere else.

2-1 so far, pair up against warrior. Somehow get over everything, holding some hate for possible plays(torch and Swamp ooze). I eventually stabilize the board with more cards than he has. Play master jouster, lose the joust, but against pretty weak stuff. I am ahead at this point, found a blizzard off of Arcanist. He plays Dr. Boom (last opponent was also a warrior with a legendary at 2-0). Jouster+Blizzard to clear the board. Boom bots hit me for 7 down to 10 life. Play Harvest golem into an open board. Opponent has 4 cards and I have 6. Opponent plays Psych-o-tron. I ping+boost with Abusive Sergeant to clear it. I have 2 2/1s

I want you to guess what happens next

That's right Ravaging ghoul. Then plays a stormwind champion. I play sludge belcher+Duplicate as my last hope at this point (10 life)

    he plays Eater of Secrets.

I have never seen anybody lucksack so hard.If this happened in a paper tournament I would call a judge because there is no way anybody should be that lucky.

posted a message on Any help with my N'zoth Rogue?

Remove N'zoth and Sylvanas. Add Yogg-Saron and the Boogeymonster.

In all seriousness, Yeah, Tomb Pillager is good. I would tend towards running fewer Deathrattles because the sheer value of N'zoth does hit a critical point. Quality over quantity is a good thing, and on this deck, Sylvanas should be your #1 craft/pull priority, even higher than Cairne Bloodhoof, Xaril, Poisoned Mind etc.

Polluted Hoarder is pretty bad and Golem is meh. Focus on a decent curve, since a deck like this can make up for lacking power with the right amount of initiative.

I personally like Sap simply because it is a very strong counter to Midrange/aggro shaman and taunts. It really depends on how aggressive/tempo-driven your playstyle is.

All this being said, I actually think that this deck is one of the few where not having a 100% list is not the end of the world. Good luck
