So there's the thread right now about Flamestrikes, where the general consensus is that 2-3 is the 'right' number.  I had a Mage draft this morning where I had 5 Fireballs come up, and I took them all.  I'm currently 5-0, wasn't able to play that much this morning. I did take 2 Kobold Geomancers after the 3rd Fireball and one Ogre Magi after the 5th, but the rest of my deck is pretty typical midrange crap with no other nukes except a single Frostbolt. I've won three games by nuking down 2 or more phatties in a row while my 2-4 cost minions slowly pinged them down, and 2 games with a double-fireball-to-the-face. One of those I was going to die next turn, and The Heart of The Cards planted two Fireballs in a row on the top of my deck for me. Stupid Priests and their 14-health Injured Blademasters.

By and large though, the abundance of top-notch all-purpose burnination, paired with the Flamestrike thread, made me wonder: at what point would you stop drafting Fireballs?

I just finished an Arena match against a Mage, he played FIVE Fireballs against me (plus a Leeroy Jenkins on top of that). There is no way in h-e-double-l that he would have ever stood ANY chance of beating me without every last one of those Fireballs. He never had board control the entire match, but the steady stream of Fireballs (plus well-timed top-decking of Leeroy and a Venture Co.) kept me from smacking him out with my larger minions.

So, in response to the question posed in the OP here: the answer is "never". It is impossible to have "too many" Fireball in your Arena deck. If I could draft 30 Fireball, I would do that.
