    I'm in the same boat, once I really looked to see how deep the rabbit hole was it had me.  I haven't played ranked much since.

    Less aggravation I find as well.  No ropers being dicks just for the sake of being dicks.

    Just played George and got second. Lost to a monster Djinn Elemental build.

    I think I judged him too early before I really started knowing the cards and game enough to be half decent.

    Tess is to get the Djinns everyone else finds. Secondly for the Majordomos, Nomis, Cyclines and Rags and for the Elemental bodies to run the engine.  Once a nerf comes I will be a lot less excited about her.  Before I avoided her.

    I will spend more time on George.  My initial thought was that the 3 cost was too high to keep up but your points make sense.

    Reno is also doing very well in this meta.  Just wait to golden one of the above key minions.

    I am playing around with a number of Hero's I see marked as low tier most places that seem to be bumped up for this current Djinn meta or I just haven't learned enough lesson yet.  I do not pay for hsreplay at this time so I can't see lists other than the simpleton one.  The following minions are all listed tier 4 on that list.

    Tess Greymane: This can be strong now since so many people are playing elementals and then it becomes insane late game.  I just finished a game where I had 1x golden Djinn plus 2x basic Djinns... and a Baron Rivendare.  My 2x Majordomo pumped up Cyclone got me deep and then it got real fun.

    Chenvalla: I am doing fairly well with this hero.  I do tend to play the minion set available to me each game but I am always looking to shift to Elementals.  If they come early enough you tier up so fast to find the good stuff without any real downside as long as you aren't blindly just buying Elementals.

    Galakrond: If you start turn 1 to tier up a minion and do it to the same minion each turn you can have a tier 4 (Majordomo) on turn 3, a tier 5 (Djinn or Nomi) on turn 4 or a tier 6 on turn 5.  Yes you take a ramp hit but more often than not I score big and it more than makes up for it.  He is listed at second to last.  Is the hit to the early stat curve too high under normal meta?  Is it worth it now?

    Any thoughts?  Am I still too much of a newb to know better or at those 3 better with the Djinn meta?I have also been trying out and liking but still unsure on the value of The Rat King, Malygos and Infinite Toki.

    I just found a site for making a Hero tier list.  I could use some experience with my rankings.  I ranked them by how excited I get to play each at this particular moment.  There are still a couple of Heros I have no played yet and I have until recently not been playing the field.  I also only recently started to try demons and pirates.

    I'm still pretty new.  Just been playing since the last expansion.  I don't really watch videos either, trying to figure it out.

    Takes quite some time to learn all of the tribes and minions so you can adapt quickly.  Learning the tricks of the tricky hero's takes a bit too.  I think I've just barely entered this stage. 

    I'm floating between 5900-6200 now.  Mostly been leaning on Majordomo to pump a Cyclone or grabbing a Nomi, staying on level 5 and cycling through as many Elementals as possible while praying to find a Djinn.  Use whatever you can to get to that point. Poison murlocs seems to be about all that can compete. 

    There are some tricks I still need to learn for the early game I think as I seem behind the stat curve too often. I think the current Djinn meta forces a rush for him at the expense of the curve but it means the odd last place finish that hurts.

    Anyone have any good resources to get me to the next level from here?

    I played him a couple more times.  I think that he will drop to low tier 2 or high 3.  Just too little too late.  I'm still stunned they hit both the boost and the minions needed.

    I've used him a couple times since the patch.  Coming on later hurts.  Surviving another turn or two with no hero buff is hard. Being a turn or two behind on buffs is hard.  Buffs being +3/+3 isn't quite the same. 

    This is a huge nerf but he needed it and he's still decent.

    First attempt I finished last.  Just now I got second with a Mech build. List to an elemental build with that 6* taunt with over 450 health.

    I started playing it after the patch, it races up the ranks pretty quick now.  But yes, you have to find Elementals.

    The two biggest 'RNG' events I can't seem to fully believe in Battlegrounds are 1) how often a Selfless Hero will give divine shield to another f#*ing Selfless Hero and 2) how rarely your minions attack the f#*ing Jugglers once the taunts are gone.  I am aware that both events would have confirmation bias in full effect but I am tempted to gather stats anyway.  In fact I intend to start tracking Selfless Hero for sh#ts and giggles.

    Results so far:

    Will Selfless Hero give Divine Shield to herself or another Selfless Hero?

    Total events tracked = 19

    Averaged theoretical random odds over those events = 27%

    Actual percent times Selfless Hero gets a shield = 47%

    I assumed that when 2 shields are activated that it is two separate events.  The second event has 1 fewer valid targets.  Which shield hit first was not tracked so I summed the odds of each.

    E.g. Event 13:

    2 shields were triggered with 4 valid targets including 1 Selfless Hero.

    Event odds of SH getting a shield = shield 1 odds (1/4) + shield 2 odds (1/3)
