To summarize many of the above good comments: 1) IF you really will NEVER play anything else but oil rogue, then probably Bloodmage Thalnos is your best bet to craft. 2) IF there is a chance you want to branch out and explore other classes/decks in the future, then you are probably better off crafting a very versatile legendary such as Dr. Balanced or Sylvannas.
Yes it is. Leeroy Jenkins is only a finisher. Arcane Golem can be also used quite good and has the advantage that you can play it earlier like Leeroy Jenkins and Arcane Golem is in my Opinion also more flexible like Leeroy Jenkins, because with him you need to achieve the finish, otherwise you give your opponent two minions for buffing, wich could be much more worse like the Mana Crystal from the Arcane Golem
Thanks for responses, will try it with Arcane Golem for Leeroy.
You, sir, seem to lack the ability to think before typing. I stated that it is not good for an epic to have abilities rivaling that of the BEST legendaries, not the worst.
I had a brief, yet informative experiment with Fizzlebang in my handlock. The only thing that went 'bang' was my ladder ranking slamming into the ground.
It is interesting that you are comparing two of the very best LEGENDARIES in the game with mysterious challenger, an epic. When an epic's special ability rivals that of the best legendaries, it is time for the nerf.
Dr. Balanced would be Dr. Unbalanced if his boom bots were guaranteed to explode for 4 damage each. Mysterious Challenger, likewise, would be a VERY powerful yet much more balanced card if it were made to put between 2 and 4 secrets into play.
Mysterious Challenger is even more broken than Grim Patron. Patron typically has its big impact on turn 8 IF one has drawn adequate combo cards with it. Challenger has its impact on turn 6 and requires no additional combo cards. If ANY card gets nerfed in the near future it must be this one.
Loatheb would be a fine replacement - in some circumstances, I can even see him being better. Knowing your opponent's key turns and when they might play troublesome spells can make it fantastic. I'd still keep the Holy Smite, however, since there are times against faster decks where the tempo gain from a 1 mana removal spell can swing a game wildly. It can also remove pesky divine shields before a Holy Nova/Lightbomb.
Sounds perfect. Loatheb it is then. Ty for quick response.
Thanks for very good list and guide. I don't have Vol'jin. Is Chromaggus or Loatheb a reasonable substitution? And if I sub out Vol'jin, does it make sense to also sub something in for holy smite?
There are several buff cards upon death. Charged hammer straight up changed your hero power. It seems a lot more unique to me. Similarly, doomhammer is the only card that gives a hero windfury. Relative power has absolutely nothing to do with rarity. Otherwise top tier decks would be all purples and oranges.
Whoever decided that this hammer deserved an to be an epic level card should have their head examined. Charged Hammer isn't worthy to lick the bottom of Doomhammer's shoes.

Is arcane golem ok sub for Leeroy (don't have)?

Don't have Aviana and Cenarius. Would Ysera , Chromaggus, and/or Sylvannas be reasonable substitutions?

Well put. Thanks for a good explanation.

I think you are giving blizzard too much credit. Powermace has a unique effect and is a rare (and probably an overall more useful card).
