You're not addicted to Hearthstone specifically.
You're addicted to the gambling mechanics that are used in this game (for very different reasons).
That's why it's so hard to stop.
That's why so many people get super defensive as soon as you criticize this game.
It's textbook addict behavior.

What do sites like VS Syndicate, HSReplay etc. actually do?
The don't show you what deck is the best.
They show you what deck has the best chance of winning.
It's the equivalent of card counting.
Probability calculation is by far the most valuable skill you can have in this game nowadays.
That alone should raise eyebrows but hey, it's just a "children's card game" right?

Hearthstone is a gambling simulator and people who are already addicted to it should never ever try real gambling because they'd get hooked INSTANTLY.
Same goes for Battlegrounds. Blizzard uses gambling mechanics in every game they can. Quality gameplay has no priority anymore. It used to be the most important factor to make money in this industry but those days are gone forever.

 Couldn’t agree more. Gone are the days where skilled gameplay actually matters. Between computer plug ins doing the game play for you and the game mechanics, it’s more RNG than anything. Precisely why I just get my card backs each month and don’t play again after that. Failed game doesn’t deserve my money.

Hands down worst expansion ever. I wish eac and every dev would be fired. There is no excuse for the shape of this game these days. 

Honestly there really isn’t any hope left for the game. It’s just to far gone at this point. It’s to bad. 

So glad that we nerfed Paladin into the ground to get demon Hunter that has a higher win rate, easier to pilot, and does damage to face you can do nothing about. Hat a pathetic shit game. Every single update it just goes further and further down the drain.

It’s really annoying that Plague death knight isn’t rotating out. It’s one of the most brain dead decks to pilot and destroys an entire play style, not through skill but just being an idiot, and finally it relies mostly on luck. What a great deck. Definitely one of the worst designs ever added to the game.

Plague death night has to be the laziest design and crap deck ever. Imagine building a deck that 100% destroys an entire package of cards you release in your new rotation. Jesus these devs are as dumb as a box of rocks. 

For the first time since release, finally putting down hearthstone. The game is just beyond repair. Every single class is beyond help and just relies on luck. The days of having to have any amount of intelligence to play and make legend is gone. To bad. Game use to be something. They’ve just catered to the masses that can’t get past d5. Disappointing. 

I’m so glad that hearthstone will never have a healthy meta again. Idc what anyone says, this is without a doubt the worst meta on the history of the game. It’s turned into just dumb luck that is requiring 0 skill. No way to play around it. Just luck.

It’s just sad how much the game has turned from skill required to just dumb luck. Making legend or even top legend means nothing anymore
