    Of course. Even when the game is released, they will try to promote as much buying as possible (If they do it correctly, they will do it subtly to avoid as much bitching as possible). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they expect most people to buy 40 packs off the bat for 60 bucks. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

    You still have that "double luck" factor in constructed mode, simply because you'll be running into more people who have paid their way to victory. Their decks will make any of your decks look like crap. Arena, on the other hand, forces players to adapt to many different playstyles depending on what type of cards/characters Arena gives you. Moreover, everyone is subjected to this playstyle, so you will see a lot less absolute domination (outside of matches between people where one side is bad and the other very experienced). Ultimately skill with building and using decks effectively will be more of a factor in Arena.

    Long story short, they should promote Arena play as the primary playstyle.

    I completely disagree. Arena requires you to know how to build a deck based on the previous cards chosen and the hero you picked. It requires you to know how to play many different styles of play. Constructed can easily end up as a pay to win match.

    Arena should be the core of the game, because that is where true skill comes into play. Arena also encourages people to invest more time (and in Blizzard's perspective: money) into the game because Arena exposes people to new cards that they do not have. I could easily see people finding their favorite cards and trying to invest some money into the game to get them quickly (by buying packs and melting the stuff down that they don't want). Right now, Arena cannot be the highlight of the game because of the steep entry cost.

    So I think that the rate of gold income should increase (maybe 20 to 30 gold for each five wins), drop rates on packs should decrease, and the amount of games needed to win in Arena to get a free Arena pass should increase to like 8. Maybe crafting costs should increase as well.
