posted a message on The Meme deck only - THREAD

Thank god for this thread oh man oh man

I got a big stuff recruit warrior with a very decent winrate, largely thanks to the addition of Dead Man’s Hand, Grand Archivist, and The Boomship. I’ll post the decklist in a bit but basically:

-Dead Man’s Hand restocks your deck with big minions, copies of Gather Your Party/Woecleaver, and spells for Grand Archivist

-Grand Archivist pulls out Gather Your Parties, Dead Man’s Hands, and The Boomship (as well as Execute and Forge of Souls, and sometimes Bouncing Blade, Sudden Genesis, or Blood Warriors depending on how you want to build this deck). Running Grand Archivist means you can’t run Brawl, but the fact that you can Gather Your Party into a Grand Archivist into Gather your Party into Y’shaarj is too good to pass up.

-the Boomship is a recent addition that allows you huge payoffs even if you’ve been drawing all your big minions all game. Ysera, Rotface, and The Lich King are PRETTY GOOD with Rush lol.

Idk, these feel like legitimately responsible game design decisions, but ok???? Better they nerf something before anything happens, than if they wait for months or years or NEVER to fix these issues like the team has been so frustratingly consistent about .____.

posted a message on Can we talk about Treant tribal?

Or, more specifically, what are the best cards for it? I thought it was silly at first, but now my brain's buzzing with deck ideas, and I'm just wondering what cards can help Treant Druid be good, or even what archetype it falls in.

Obviously, you have Witchwood Apple, the new 3-mana spell, and Soul of the Forest. The only way to make Treants are with spells, so Violet Teacher and the new druid 2-drop seem like essentials. Is the goal to bang out the Mulchmuncher as early as possible, i.e. just trying to make the most Treants as possible and making constant trades, or is this just a new sort of Token Druid that relies on Treants for board presence, with Mulchmuncher as more of a modest late-game threat? Do Treant decks run Magnetic cards to maximize the crazy power level of Mulchmuncher?

I just don't really know, and I wanted to hear what y'all think. What's the best strategy you see for Treant decks, just with what cards we have available?

My 1st Shudderwock deck was named “A Wock To Remember”, and it was the only good thing about the deck lol

posted a message on Rage quiting, Why, and what should be done?

If I’ve EVER done this, it’s because I’m counting on my only chance left: my opponent disconnecting. It’s probably only happened to me 2 or 3 times, but sometimes I still feel like holding out just in case. I know I’VE lost games from running out of battery on the last turn, so I know it’s possible. The idea that some of you hardly have the time or patience to wait through one last turn kinda almost makes the strategy sound viable, tbh.

posted a message on Are u hyped for "The Witchwood"?

Yes, and it feels like I’m the only person on the site whom’s excited, it’s crazy. I feel like all the new legendaries are going to open up a lot of new deckstyles for each class, and I’m very much feeling the Rush and Echo stuff so far.

Kinda feels like a lot of people on Hearthpwn just wanted “Cubelock Nerf: the Expansion” and are miffed past conceivable standards that it wasn’t 100% EXACTLY that, and I’m over here just excited to try out Baku Mage or Genn Hunter or play around with a new Zoolock

Can I just say Witchwood seems so cool and I’m so excited for almost all of these cards? Idk, do I get kicked off of Hearthpwn if I don’t structure all my statements as complaints??

posted a message on Is Kingsbane Enough on its Own?

I see people run Elven Minstrel a lot in these decks if that’s any help, it’s like a shinyfinder for you shinyfinders. And if you need combo procs, Swashbuckler or the 1-mana freeze elemental work pretty good in those slots.

I think you could just use some replacements. Idk if Violet Illusionists are necessary if you run Leeching Poison, Naga Corsair is better than Chillwind Yeti for this deck just about every way, Spiteful Smith is a little too slow for this deck I think and you might be better running something like Sludge Belcher on that slot, I don’t really understand why you need dire moles, those could be replaced by anything really.

Oh, wow. That's incredibly useful actually, I love it. I can see Rogue running it and getting Shadowstep value, I can see Windfury value and preserving a Divine Shield on Corpsetaker, this is just really strong :o OOH, WHAT ABOUT EVOLVE SHAMAN?

posted a message on Why are paladins geting garbage cards again?

Don't forget that Corpsetaker is essentially a paladin card. Just running Tirion makes it a 4/4 with taunt and divine shield, but for 1 mana cheaper than Psych-o-tron
