Also you could play this in a mill deck give your opponent full hand then drop this

Just what I was thinking. This is awesome for Druid or Rogue mill-decks. Play Mukla/Coldlight/Clockwork Giant lolz.

posted a message on New card - Sneed's Old Shredder discussion
I think the biggest appeal of this card is that a new player can pick up (or craft) one Legendary and gain the ability to try out all Legendaries, at least in theory.
    Quote from Metzelmax»

I really dont think that RNG is the best theme to build an entire expansion around. There are at least 5 new cards with summon or transform effects that can either wreck you or win you the game.

Either you get something like a natpagle, cho or you get the new V-07 with 4times winfury and charge or thaddius and win the game. It's as simple as that. It's a 1/30 or so instant game win chance or a 1/30 instant loose chance.

They better add some really good silences in this expansion.

Well, they put Webspinner in the game as an experimental card to try out this mechanic, and I guess they're pleased with both how popular it is and what it does to the metagame. I'm a little skeptical about so much RNG too, but I thought Webspinner was going to be junk, and I was wrong.

Also, I'm guessing that Sneed can't summon Legendaries that are summoned by other Legendaries (such as Thaddius and 4-attack V-07), but only Legendaries that you can include in your deck. Just like Webspinner can't summon Leok, Misha, or Huffer.

Of course, that doesn't change the fact that you could land a Deathwing. Or on the other end, a Tinkmaster Overspark (without even a battlecry).

Stiff competition for the generic 3-drop slot in many decks. Will probably push Harvest Golem out of the meta except in Deathrattle decks. Will probably push Shade of Naxxramas out of the meta except in gimmicky combo decks. Probably won't change how often Earthen Ring Farseer is played.

Nice card for playing on your opponents' minions to enable Shadow Word: Death and Big Game Hunter.

With Velen's Chosen and Shrinkmeister, I wonder if some Priests might start running two Pain's and two Death's.

I think he should remain 0/4 and remain "start of turn," but should have his percentage upped to 70% or so.

2 hours, owch. I got Sylvanas in an Arena pack 3 days after crafting her. That's at least almost as bad.

The original Zeus Shaman decklist I saw had Gadgetzan Auctioneers. Anyone experimented with that recently?

I love how mad people get at playing against your decks because they're not the typical 10 standard decks you normally see in Legendary rank.

posted a message on Is a good Aggro Shaman possible?

Yeah. For a true "aggro" Shaman deck, you'd have to have some Shaman cards or abilities that can zerg down your opponent on Turn 4 or so.

Anyone figured out how to make Dust Devil good yet? ;-)

I suppose more experimentation could be done with things like Bluegill Warrior + Windfury + Rockbiter Weapon.

Papine -- definitely Mukla first! Backspace Rogue is strong, and other mill-decks seem awesome.

For the second one, I'd personally do Nozdormu, but I have no idea what is really the strongest.

posted a message on Wailing Soul

There are plenty of minions that it would be beneficial to silence with Wailing Soul.

The problem is to build a deck with a bunch of those minions that doesn't suck if you only get to Silence a few of them with Wailing Soul. (Sometimes you just don't draw them; sometimes you draw them, but there's still only two of them compared to a whole host of Watchers and Chows and Dancing Swords.)

One idea I've had is to make the deck more consistent by including a lot more Silence effects in addition to the Wailing Souls. Two Owls, two Spellbreakers, and some class Silence cards too. Then you can silence your value-minions' drawbacks away much more often, and still spare some Silences for your opponents' annoying minions. I've done ok with a Priest deck based on this, but just ok; I'm not satisfied with it yet.

Sounds good - One quick question, though:  I thought Jaraxxus messes up the molten giants a bit, because he sets your max health TO 15, requiring you to play them before you Jaraxx-up.    Is this something that Handlock players don't worry about (not as much of a problem as I had heard?)

Obviously as Handlock you try not to play Jaraxxus until you've played at least one of your Moltens. Especially if a Molten is in your hand. But if you do end up playing Jaraxxus before Moltens (generally because you aren't drawing them), you just have to take comfort in the fact that you can now summon an almost-Molten 6/6 every turn for a measly 2 mana.

CaptainKaulu - Seatstory is in the data set, it's just low weight due to only having access to the winner's decklists. There is an interesting question as to whether the data would be more useful if it weighted results for tournament success, but my inclination is to say that the people playing in such small gated events represent an elite enough contingent that the variance of win/loss within a single even isn't significant.

Well, I can't argue with your quantitative results, except to point out that most of the decklists are available here.

But your prose analysis of the results said that the only recent Malygos data comes from Viagame, and that the pros have concluded it's better not to use Malygos. I was objecting to these generalizations with a counterexample. (And because of Savjz's success, I suspect other pros are going to be trying harder to make Malygod work too in the near future.)

Definitely Doomhammer first and see if you like the Shaman play style. Then you can choose to pick up an Al'akir later (or go with the double doom hammer, lava-burst variant).

Caution: Some pros have expressed the opinion that Chakki-Shaman (double Doomhammer, Lava Burst) is only good for tournaments, not for laddering. I don't know whether that's true; it's just a possibility to keep in mind.

In the current meta, Handlock really kind of depends on Jaraxxus a lot. I'd go with the Black Knight if I were you.

Uh ... you seem to have missed SeatStory Cup, which Savjz dominated with Malygos-Rogue.  (And Chakki-Shaman.  But it was Malygos Rogue that carried him through his toughest matches, such as the epic Kolento match after Kolento banned Shaman.)
