posted a message on Should i buy my packs with amazon coins?

I've had no problem using Amazon Coins and because the coins are universal across apps, I'm sure Blizzard receives whatever share they are supposed to from Amazon based on their agreement or they wouldn't be part of Amazon's app store.

Just keep in mind if you don't have an Android Phone capable of downloading the app store, you will need to use an emulator to get the Hearthstone app from the amazon app store.

The best promotion I've been able to catch over the past 6 months was buying the coins at 25% off ($375 for $500 in coins), then using 20% coin back to get back 1000 coins on a $50 purchase).  Also keep in mind that tax is taken in the form of coins if it applies to your state.

According to your screen shot, that is not 30% coin back.  It is 10%.  That has been up and down for a while.  A Few weeks ago you could do 25% off the front end and for a day they ran an additional 15% coin back.  The discount in your 2nd image Is what has been around for a while (save up to 25% off the initial coins).  The 10% coin back is not advertised but I think the confusion lies in people are looking for 30% coin back on top of the up front purchase.

Hope this is clear for everyone.  Had this been the elusive 30% coin back, the Earned 200 coins would have been Earned 600 coins.  When you combine the 2 discounts with the purchase of $100 in coins you are looking at about a total discount of 28.9% off the standard store price (after the coin back has been returned to you).  At the $500 package which is 25% off the front, it comes out to a total of 32.5%.

Still not a bad deal, but I'm waiting to see 15-20% coin back before I use any more of my coins (at 20% coin back you'd be looking at 40% combined savings and 15% coin back which is the last promotion I caught comes out to 36.25% combined savings)

Ok, maybe that was too much, and it wasn't funny at all, it's just that I don't like click baits. :P

Of which it wasn't meant to be.

posted a message on Need opinions on TGT and Amazon Coin Deal info inside

So I've hit that spot where I'm 8 epics and 5 legendaries away from finishing WOTG, and 1 Rare, 7 Epics, and 12 Legendaries from finishing Classic.

Here's my dilemma, I have not opened anything from TGT (only have 22 cards I crafted as needed).  I have both adventures, nothing from GVG or Naxx.  I don't plan to play wild unless I end up with enough dust to craft a good chunk of GVG and Naxx since I missed both of them (my fault for taking a year and a half off).  Amazon has an amazing deal right now with 25% off coins + 15% coin back (making 40 packs $49.99 with $750 coins back, bringing the total price down to essentially $0.75/pack not including tax).  I feel like this is a deal not to pass up (even if I just hold the coins at 25% off for the next adventure and expansion).

With the price being where it is, what is everyone's opinion on going ahead and trying to fill out my TGT collection?  If I do this, I'd be looking at spreading the packs as follows.  40 WOTG (try to finish filling in the epics without digging into dust), 40 Classic (just to fill in some golden possibly or accumulate dust if I ever decide to go ahead and craft GVG and play wild), 120-160 TGT packs and see where that puts me.

That would still leave me with about $250 in coins to use towards the next expansion/adventure.  If you were in this spot, what would you do?  The little voice in the back of my head says not to bother with TGT, but on the other hand, if I was to start playing wild say next year, I don't want to feel like I would have missed out.

Thanks, and lets keep the discussion friendly.

    Best I've opened ;)

I've seen others who have pulled 2 golden legendaries in a single pack.......one could dream.

And why the thread title is "Best Pack I've Seen"? Was it really hard to name it "Best Pack I've opened"?
     No need for being rude.

After being super salty to losing an arena run to a perfect draw, I opened this from the pack.  Just had to share as it turned my mood around for sure.

Best part was, I have almost a full set of wotg so the epic was one of only 4 I was missing a 2nd copy of and I didn't have either golden (the legendary I didn't have at all).

posted a message on Now that standard has been a thing for a while, are you glad that it exists?

Honestly, Standard is the only reason I play.  It gave me a way back in after leaving for 3 years and having missed out on Naxx and GvG (I have 0 cards from both).  I will only be playing standard since I'm able to keep up with the more limited card pool.

posted a message on Anyone play on a Mac in Windows using Boot Camp?

If you are using the virtual machine, it runs slow.  Best way to do this through bootcamp is to run dual operating systems and boot into Windows.

I have a macbook Pro 2015 17" model with the highest specs they offered and a dedicated graphics card and even with the best of specs, it runs a little sluggish when running through the virtual operating system, however if I'm booted directly into Windows 7, everything runs smooth as butter.

Personally, I still prefer to play on the mac side so I don't have to reboot and rarely see any issues.

    Hope this helps!

That happened to me.  I was so pissed I just sadly closed down my laptop and called it a night.  If it was yesterday, you could have possibly been playing against me.  I was beyond broken once that happened.
