Suikiele posted a message on United in Stormwind Mini Set: Deadmines - Launches November 2nd! All Cards Revealed!Posted in: NewsAnecdotally, exactly what I'm experiencing myself. These quests with Stormwind have just made the experience pretty terrible for me. For the past few years, every month I've gotten to at least Wild Diamond 5 rank ("Dad Legend"), and once Stormwind landed, I ran up to Legend with a pirate quest warrior (during the Demon Seed hellhole experience in Wild). And once they announced the Demon Seed ban in Wild, I knew that if they didn't do something about Hunter and Warrior at the same time, we'd be left with nothing but a meta of those two (which is what we see today). And my God it is boring. This is the first month in as long as I can remember playing this game I could only be arsed to play up to Platinum 10. And I really don't see anything other than a violent meta-shakeup that would alter this trajectory I'm on.

BroF1sT posted a message on 21.4 Patch Notes - Mercenaries, New Skins, Bug Fixes & Known IssuesPosted in: NewsThese skins are gross, I actually bite in the foul apple and purchased Elise & King Rasta just for Nostalgia sake, because of their unique intro, wall, heropower animation, well even their emotes were better (more bad mannered) than what we get nowadays. but those were from the good ole days when Blizzard still tried, nowadays they release just .gifs without anything except changing the emotes, it's just lazy and impudent to charge for something like that really. But hey, "have some Mercenarie$" which look even more dull and 2D, like from the 16-bit era.

Remus88Romulus posted a message on Lead Designer Alec Dawson Leaves Hearthstone TeamPosted in: NewsWhen the quests first was announced I thought the Quests would almost all be control-oriented. Like... A questline with 3 steps would take "quite awhile" to complete... But nope... Super aggro and face decks it is majority.

BroF1sT posted a message on Lead Designer Alec Dawson Leaves Hearthstone TeamPosted in: NewsIronically Quest Warrior is supposed to be a "control" deck, but you lose as soon as the Quest is completed. That applys to all Quests. They just mean Insta Loss for the opponent, promoting nothing else than Solitairestone. Just get rid of them altogether, since they are so bad designed.

I just realized that playing this with Brann Bronzebeard in Wild allows you to freeze the board and do 4 damage (old Flamestrike) for only 7 mana. Then you have the minions left over. That’s insane value!

You should have been able to but Blizzard is not addressing that part of the issue. They are only compensating people for getting Wild only cards in the Classic packs; not for wasting packs on duplicates when the Hall of Fame cards should have been included in the Classic packs. That’s why I called this response a half measure. They only fixed the issue several hours into the expansion.
Blizzard doesn’t care that people saved, bought, and opened Classic packs to get Hall of Fame cards without that actually being a possibility. Yes, that’s clearly a violation of consumer laws since these purchases were advertised to include Hall of Fame cards. Why would Blizzard care though? They tossed the Classic Set into Wild without compensating people who invested in their “Evergreen” promise.

This is a good start but it doesn't address the fact that people got duplicates of other Classic cards. I think a fair solution is either a full refund of the packs and money or refunding every single card that came out of those packs. This is kind of a half measure. It's not just that these cards were included in the Classic packs but also that Hall of Fame cards were not. Blizzard isn't addressing that part!

By the way, the pre-orders have been extended until March 29th!

I just had this bug happen against a Mage. Yogg Sharon showed that it was ready but didn’t glow yellow. Nothing happened when I played it. Yes, a “counter spell” was used during the game but it shouldn’t make the card itself miscount the number of spells that I used.

So you’re saying that Blizzard should treat a black knight as a token? That’s some pretty bad phrasing there. Would likely be offensive to someone out there.

I’m excited about Khadgar, although I have Medivh already, but the Mage Bundle sucks. Five packs for $10 is terrible!

How does this compare to Dragon Highlander Mage in terms of win rate?

I pre-ordered because I had been gone for over a year. However, I knew that they would nerf the insanely strong cards. So pre-ordering essentially give me a really good shot to have a bunch of cards that would receive full dust refunds. That was what I was hoping for and exactly what I'm about to receive. Just from this particular nerf, I'll be getting 5,760 dust.

I play Dragon Highlander Mage and faced a few of these Warlock's today. It was a challenge for me to keep up. Although I did win a few times. Not sure if it was this particular deck but Galakrond Warlock isn't bad at all.
