Couple things, I guess. PO gives you the Health buff which matters in control decks. Also, Rogue already lost Conceal. Not only that, but without Conceal, it's much less of a potent card. But yeah, maybe it will get HoF'd at some point too.
I think Rag can be replaced with another Fire Ele, Aya will be tough since cutting any amount of Jade from a Jade deck (that isn't Jade Druid with infinite Jades) seriously cripples them.
Midrange actually runs Lightning Storm in favor of Maelstrom nowadays. But with Buccanneer at 1 health, maelstrom might see the light of play some more.
midrange shaman runs both Storm and Maelstrom, just like any other shaman deck.
LC's midrange shaman doesn't, and I consider his to be a prime example of what midrange should be. No tunnel trogg + totem golem, for example.

why not make it a 4 charge weapon ? i wanted a nerf to some shaman cards but this looks more like a murder
In decks that already benefit from having spellpower minions in, this card very often has 1 or 2 3-attacks. 2 3-attacks and 1 1-attack already makes it better than Fiery War Axe, a card that was considered for the nerfing block by many players. So I do not think this is murder at all. Cogmaster's Wrench was a 3(!) mana 1/3 with the same effect except for mechs.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Jade mechanic was a mistake. It puts the meta in an unhealthy hostage situation where it cannot slow down too much or they become too powerful, so aggro needs to thrive if you don't want 90% Jade druid. Basically that fun down time between expansions where the meta slows down when people try things out, Jade will smash through and dominate things for 2 years to come.
This, I see as being on par with the Execute or Knife Juggler nerfs. If it can get nerfed and still see lots of play, it just shows that the original version was too good.
This change hardly matters at all for any Control Shamans out there, but makes it more unwieldy for early aggro shenanigans, especially with overload in the mix.
Yep. Aggro actually made it so the likes of control warrior saw a tiny amount of play, because it was good enough against aggro and Jade druid itself was crushed by aggro. In a meta without aggro, control warrior would see zero play.
They always seem to wait until about a month before the next expansion hits to nerf cards from the previous expansion(s) that have been suffocating the meta.
Worse of course, but still not bad. Basically a better Alleycat assuming you don't draw Patches. I still prefer the indirect nerf of making it Rogue-specific.
Not strictly better than Alleycat because the second Alleycat you play will also be 2 1/1s. The second Buccaneer you play will just be 1 1/1, but with the possibility of becoming a 3/1.
Not entirely sure. Both nerfs together hamper aggro shaman a lot. The fact of the matter was, their 4 weapons together with the strong Patches package made Spirit Claws good enough to also play Bloodmage Thalnos and Azure Drake in your deck. Now, I'm not sure anymore.

Choose a buff and every Murloc gets it seems to be the Hearthstone way.

"Could you guys do a better job at balancing aggro?"
"It's not just me designing the game"
Nice...

If you want a quicker way to kill a 1 health minion than a turn 2 hero power, play an aggro deck yourself.

Yep. 2 mana Jade Idols, please. Especially with Auctioneer.
