    he clearly means if it didn't have the outcast bonus printed on the card, not if the criteria wasn't met.

    it's viability is hinged on how many anti aggro tools are being run in meta decks (which depends on how many other aggro decks are being played).

    the easy prediction is it sees play in a couple of variants of highly aggressive dh decks, none of them are at the top of the meta, but they continually bob in and out when heavy control decks are common.  probably also sees some play in tournament decks against players that are known to strongly prefer heavy control.

    Derrr you think restless mummy having rush may have something to do with being meta?  
    this does compare favourably with firelands portal and if printed a year ago would be OP.  Last few expansions have seen major power creep though.  Firelands portal would likely not see play at 7 mana these days.   

    the ultimate test wrt whether this is “OP” is whether it sees play in every competitive demon hunter deck. My money is that it does not.  It’s good enough to see competitive play in control decks but doesn’t push the boundaries so much that it’s an auto include.

    5/9 taunt was maybe worth 7 mana when ancient or war actually saw play.  Today it’s worth closer to 5 mana and still probably wouldn’t see play.  

    9/5 rush is in some ways worse (Other ways better) than assassinate which doesn’t see play at 5 Mana.  

    8 is fair because bigger cards need more to compensate for inflexibility and low tempo.  Ie:  2 mana 3/3 would be reasonable but a 4 mana 3/3 with death rattle summon a 3/3 would be trash tier.

    I'm testing out quiz software on stream for a hearthstone trivia game and am giving away $5 if any of you want to join and help test for bugs. 

    The twitch channel is twitch.tv/abbaddabba  and I'll be doing it at 10pm EST tonight (feb 5th), and if there are more than 10 people I may do one earlier at 9pm too.  It'll be a really quick one as I'm just testing the bugs, and if all goes well may do it again for a bit more money.

    it just needs 1 more good, low cost spell damage card to be competitive.  seems thalnos is the only one right now.  and a low cost warlock class card that did spell damage +2 could be printed more aggressively because of how few burn spells there are in the class.  

    evil kobold: 2 mana 2/1 spell damage +2

    What percent of meta decks actually gain significant armor?  Not enough to run this at the moment even without anti armor tech.

    It just puts a hard limit on how many can exist at some point in the future when armor actually is relevant.

    this can actually be played early in contrast to surrender to madness, which has way too steep a cost when played early (3 mana on the first turn, and then 3 mana on each subsequent turn until you hit 8 where the cost is 2, and then 1 for almost 30 mana total cost).  by contrast this will in the long term cost quite a bit less even if every single card in your deck is a minion and you get through every single card in your deck. and more importantly the cost is spread out over a much longer time frame where you lose almost no tempo, because the cost is only incurred when you play a card that receives the buff.  the power difference between this and surrender to madness is huge when played early, which is when you'd want to play it.    

    +2/+2 (costs one more) is slightly weaker than +1/+1 with no cost change in general but it's close.  if there was a zero mana keleseth effect without a body and no deck restriction it would definitely be played.  so the question is how much worse is +2/+2 (costs one more) than just a simple +1/+1 to minions in your deck.

    On avg your best of 3 choices will be worth 6-7 mana in value for a bit better than a 7/7.  You’ll almost never low roll too badly.  

    3 mana 0/3 death rattle summon a 5/5 was a big part of a meta defining deck.  This is slightly less flexible but can be played in both rogue and hunter.

    will probably not see Constructed play due to huge power creep but if released in some previous expansions it would be seen in top ranked decks.  It’s only bad in the sense that 90% of cards in any expansion are bad. 

    a 4 mana 4/4 that did the same probably would see play.  A 3mana 3/3 that did this would be auto include in any shaman deck.

    Exotic Mountseller could see play in a small spell mage deck.

    Average 3 cost beast is worth about 6 stat points and so getting one makes it fairly costed.  

    It would serve as an alternative value engine to manacyclone for the small spells ray of frost or magic trick that kind of suck independently.

    Frontrunner for most likely card to get nerfed.

    You get more stats per mana than lyra and having it on a small card is just way better overall.  And you can put two in your deck.

    At 3 mana this would probably still see play.

    without spell damage this would see play at 6 mana.   spell damage seems irrelevant in hunter but they wouldn't print this without at least one support card, and one or two low cost AOE spells is all this really needs to put it over the top.
