It's no secret, I am working hard on my skills in the arena. I am focusing on my drafting/building, seeing as I am confident in everything else I do. this is the deck that I have for this first round
Now I have forgotten to add the cards that where not picked but I do remember a few "big" choices and that was me choosing Piloted Sky Golem over Pyroblast, the other was Blood Knight, and Big Game Hunter over Hobgoblin and Enhance-o Mechano. I think what might bite me in the ass the most was my VERY FIRST PICK was the Secretkeeper over Madder Bomber and Imp Master. Every pick that had a secret in it had a very obliviously better choice save the one Ice Barrier but I never liked Madder Bomber, lord knows RNG hates me, and didn't foresee Imp Master as a clutch card, though I probably should have.

Looking at the playable minions you have: one 1-drop, two 2-drops, two 3-drops, two 4 drops. The curve itself looks ok, but it misses minions. What do you play after removing an enemies minion with Frostbolt ? I think you will struggle pretty fast, if your enemy starts flooding the board with cheap and/or sticky minions (deathrattle, divine shield, etc.).
Imp Master would've been way better anyway as first pick, because of its synergies with your heropower.
I fail to see the synergy with Imp Master and fireblast but it is still a better choice over Secretkeeper which ended up as fodder or Knife Juggler tool. Still, despite it all, I got my 4 win average

The same synergy as with druid or rogue: the flexibility to do different amounts of damage is very efficient. Suppose you're a warrior with 2x Bloodfen Raptor and 1 Imp (ignoring the Master for now) and you want to get through Sen'jin Shieldmasta. Welp, you're gonna have to kill the raptors and then that stupid Imp just goes face for 1 measly damage. Poor efficiency. Now imagine you're a mage. You have the option to do fireblast, Imp, and one raptor, while saving one of the raptors which are obviously far more valuable than an Imp.
Clearly it's not "omg wow crazy synergy!" but the option to do one damage at a time opens many more options to effectively and efficiently deal with threats.
Maybe it's because of how I define synergy, but that's not synergy at all. To me a synergy is when 2 or more cards work off each other for a gain. Best example would be Ancient Watcher and Sunfury Protector
What you just said to me is just what Imp Master does which is gain you a "sacrificial" lamb for that small bit of damage. In other words, strategy.
I may be wrong on though because I am not looking at what HS classifies as synergy, combo, and such, just my own experience in these kind of games

It is hard to rate your deck without seeing the choices you had.
Cards I really don't like: Mirror Image, Arcane Explosion (especially without any Spellpower), Ice Barrier, Secretkeeper
