With so many people asking for nerf, would it be wise to craft Dr.Boom now? I have 1200 dust and at least one useless Legendary to DE
The pitchforks are out, they're pounding down the Blizzard door for a nerf. Eventually/Usually Blizzard always answers and delivers.
It's kinda sad. Nothing fun every remains, everything gets nerfed.
No it's not sad that they nerf op cards. The sad thing is that they don't know how to nerf in a balanced way. Look at all those Cards that are now dead, for example Nat Pagle,Millhouse Manastorm, Tinkmaster Overspark and many more. There should be no cards in this game which are basically unusable.
Yeah that's what asking for nerfs does, they nerf the cards so badly they're unusable. This is completely boring and not fun at all.
If they don't nerf them enough the whining and crying continues, if they over nerf them, they become obsolete.
Dr. Boom is not OP. There are a million ways to take him out BHG, Hex, Equality, Shadow Word Death.. the list goes on and on.
If an answer exists to a so called problem, then it's not a problem, because there are answers.
Does he provide a lot of value? Yes. Is he a Legendary, Yes. What's the point of a 1600 dust card if he's just gonna be a slightly better War Golem?
Congrats for being the only person who thinks that Dr. Boom is not OP. Someone has to call the pro players to tell them that they all are wrong.
There are plenty of people on this thread that don't think he's OP and doesn't need a nerf. It starts on page one if you care to read through all the posts.
You're making a pretty big assumption when you say all the pro players think he's OP, I assume you've personally polled them all and have verified and notarized results right?
Wait a minute, didn't the nerf fanboys tell us nerfing UT would fix everything? Didn't they make a bunch of 'wowzers the game is awesome now' threads until mech mage showed up 2 days post nerf? Now they want another nerf? Is there a thread with the next nerf they want after this one fails to deliver the perfect meta?
Yep, the OP Nerf Crying never ends. Even if they get a certain card nerfed they just go after the next card they deem is "OP".
You could nerf all the cards in the game if they provided a list, the next day they'd provide a new list.
With so many people asking for nerf, would it be wise to craft Dr.Boom now? I have 1200 dust and at least one useless Legendary to DE

Exactly. Well said. He needs no nerf and if you think you're losing because of 1 card in the game, then you weren't going to win anyway.
It's better to play around it or get your own, rather than cry about a nerf IMO.
Don't you see? That's the whole problem right there. You should not be forced to get your own, you should not be forced to build around it, cards should be options, not necessary auto-includes like Dr. Boom and BGH are now. It's not a problem of losing games to it, since it's a neutral card that anyone can play. It's a problem of skewing the format more than any single card should be allowed to.
What the fuck did I just read ? You really want to implement communism into Hearthstone ? Come on... the mentality of : I do not own a strong card so they should not allow it is wrong. Get out.
Haha yep. I think people who ask for nerfs in general want "balance" which is basically communism, because then everything and everyone is balanced and equal.
In capitalism you can have better stuff, so I really don't understand people who ask for nerfs at all. It's a game, the game has cards, they have a cost, you either afford it or you don't, you can build any deck you like, any combination. Speaking of crazy combinations, Lifecoach is playing a super crazy Mech Warrior deck and is currently Rank 6 with it.
I tried playing this deck in casual and suck with it big time, but he's somehow plowing through the NA ladder and on a big winstreak. Just goes to show it's really not about the cards, but skill big time.
Game balance is most certainly not the equivalent of communism. I think you need to go restudy what communism means, buddy.
I know what it means, it means common ownership for all and everyone has to have equal wealth and nobody is really allowed to be wealthier than anyone else.
So if I have Dr. Boom then I have to share it with you in Communism, or else you'll complain that I need to be nerfed and we're not equal.
So a few things that make people ask for nerfs:
#1 is they don't own what they want nerfed so they think it's unfair when they lose to it.
#2 they own it and they're being selfish they want full dust refund to craft something else.
#3 they don't know how to deal with it, so rather than just dealing with it, they'd rather have its potency reduced so they have an easier time dealing with it.
People who don't want nerfs have come to a realization that it's not hard to deal with, doesn't need to be nerfed and even if you lose games to it, it's not a big deal, you move on to the next game. You don't really lose games because of one card, it's because of your whole deck and how you play it, of course with an RNG element to it.
Sure. Those 3 categories of people exist. But I don't know why you fail to recognize the legitimate fourth category of people who are actually interested in game balance and want to play a game where the same OP card isn't in every deck. Not to mention the fact that companies are increasingly trying to turn these games into spectator sports, and people are less interested in watching games where the same OP card is in every deck.
There are usually 20K+ viewers on Hearthstone tourneys on Twitch, clearly people are still highly interested and still watching tournaments.
So you're saying you're losing interest in a game because every deck carries common cards? I'd say you've lost interest all together.
Don't know what else to say. All games have the same weapons, cards, heroes etc. FPS shooters MOBA's etc.
Exactly. Well said. He needs no nerf and if you think you're losing because of 1 card in the game, then you weren't going to win anyway.

I agree. It's so easy to deal with that even Kolento keeps saying it's overpowered.
Why don't you just explain to us how to deal with it, instead ?
Well since you're asking so non sarcastically, I'll answer it non sarcastically.
There is no way to deal with Dr. Boom, uninstall Hearthstone and start playing Facebook flash games!
Exactly. Well said. He needs no nerf and if you think you're losing because of 1 card in the game, then you weren't going to win anyway.

Tell that to a player who's just starting out and Blizzard is only giving out GvG cards in arena packs.
What are the options for a new player?
#1 F2P And only get so far. #2 Super cheap Zoo deck. #3 Get good at arena, which still doesn't reward Classic Legendaries, because of GvG packs.
#4 Open up their wallet and buy packs.
Which method is the quickest? Which method makes Blizzard money? A capitalist for profit company.
Of course the game is free to play and pay to win, if you don't have the cards to build current meta decks, then you play inferior cards and end up with an inferior deck.
Exactly. Well said. He needs no nerf and if you think you're losing because of 1 card in the game, then you weren't going to win anyway.

Nobody is forcing you to get one, everything has a cost, even playing Hearthstone comes at a cost, you could be spending that time working or running a business and making money. Time is everything. You can't say this card can't exist, because someone can't afford it or doesn't want to own it.
It's like if you had to be at work at 9AM every morning and you can't afford a car so you have to get up early and ride the bus, while your co-worker has a car and can afford to get up later and drive him or herself to work.
What are you going to do ask city council to nerf their car and make it slower so he has to get up at the same time as you to match your bus riding speed?
Not the perfect analogy I just made, but do you see what happens here? I'd rather you both strive to own a car to drive to work, rather than saying nerf the car, it's not fair I have to ride the bus.
I don't think Boom needs nerfed. He's a war golem with two boom bots that are not guaranteed to do more than 1 damage to a completely random target.
I understand Undertaker because he was a turn 1 play that can dictate the game before it evolves. Boom is 7 mana. If you feel you lost solely because of Dr. Boom then I think your chances of winning were not very good anyways.
Exactly. Well said. He needs no nerf and if you think you're losing because of 1 card in the game, then you weren't going to win anyway.
It's better to play around it or get your own, rather than cry about a nerf IMO.
Does it really need a nerf? There is a counter to it and ironically enough almost every deck runs that counter. I think the big issue people have with it is the bots they are just so damn annoying....But does it need a nerf...My guess would be yes as it is damn near an auto include in every deck and well that is something blizzard tries to avoid. so it going to a 7/5 is possible.
Cards should get nerfed because of auto-include rate now? I guess Sludge Belcher needs a nerf too now, it's in every deck.
As for what you mentioned about Ragnaros the Firelord, he definitely is a strong card, however he was never included in half as many decks as Dr. Boom is, nor did he ever force the entire game to revolve around how to counter him. The only cards that i can recall that did that, were cards that have already been nerfed.
He was included in a lot of decks before Dr. Boom came out. I remember before GvG he was a staple of Ramp Druid, Control Warrior, Control Priest etc. etc. He was the reason people included BGH in their decks, now Dr. Boom is out and people use that a lot more than Rag, because it's 1 less mana, you can play it sooner and it has pretty good stats.
It's pretty rare, but some people run both Rag and Boom now since if one gets countered you still have the other one standing.
Anyway. I don't think that people who ask for nerfs will ever be pleased even if they get the nerf they ask for. A few weeks ago Undertaker was the card people were asking to get nerfed, then he got nerfed and now it's Dr. Boom, once Boom gets nerfed, my guess is people will ask for Mech Warper nerfs. I don't know what they'll ask for after that.
It doesn't seem to solve anything as far as I can see.
I'm so glad they're not nerfing Dr. Boom.
They're starting to not compromise with the OP Nerf Crybaby demands.
Hopefully they keep this attitude. I like it.

This seems to be the pattern of a company that knows how to make money.
Step 1: Release OP Card
Step 2: Rake in the cash.
Step 3: Nerf and release new OP, Repeat.
???
Profit
