I only saw her it shine once so far, though I think it was more because my opponent had 4 (golden + normal) Soul Jugglers hiding behind big mama.
The variance can be pretty high, of course, but I think 6 star cards should have that kind of quality to significantly improve your comp. Before the new additions, it oftentimes felt like a waste of time and gold to rank up that far.
And standalone, she isn't all that strong with just 8 HP, having the problem of most 6 star minions that you need to invest a few turns to make her really good. Without that support, she's kind of on the level of Ghastcoiler, which I'm also fine with. It can happen that the RNG cards completely steal a match, or you take a lot of damage because of them, but usually, the minions that pop out are not that swingy.
Maybe I haven't played enough BG yet, but I don't find them all that frustrating really. Not on the level of some constructed RNG, where some decks play one card generator after another, and turn the game around with stuff they pull out of nowhere.
