Been playing games since I got home and found that I've been going against a delightful variety of decks so far. I think it's the honeymoon phase here but people are trying a lot of different decks that were not working before. Personally having an odd amount of success with Pirate/Rogue/Kingsbane build. Captain Greenskin has been kind of wonderful. And I've been pretty happy with vanishing a OP'd cubelock board so I can swing face for the win.
Cubelock: Nothing to say here that hasn't been said. Tier 0-1 deck for standard right there by which all other decks must counter or die.
In the aggro field I think it's just going to get wrecked. Corridor Creeper gave most aggro decks a decent closer and Patches obviously hurts any pirate package. I think the only survivors will be paladin (living off the strength of Call to Arms) and Hunter (able to reach over taunt walls with hero power and Kill Command for those precious few points of damage).
Oddly I think control priest may very well be a thing, possibly relying on a combo Inner fire kill. Running double Psychic Screams may be the current remedy for clearing out a nasty Cubelock board while f'ing with their draw.
Rogue could still pull off some Tier 1 or 2 decks with the ever present miracle or tempo shenanigans.
Last dark horse contender for strong as hell tier 1 might be control mage. They sport the reach to tag a warlock over a taunt wall, double Polymorph could be big in this meta, and Ice block will always be a good way to squeeze out some turns for solutions. DK Jaina has won me quite a few close games by taking me from low life up to full while filling the board with nasty, freezy elementals.
Last thought, tech in weapon destruction and silence. They are going to be big.
