I know they are not top tier decks but with the rotation coming up I see a lot of recently released cards from MSG for priest losing massive value.
With Reno rotating out do you get enough value out of the Highlander conditions of Raza and Kazakus?
Since a massive hoard of dragons are going to the graveyard of wild as well is Dragon Priest even going to be a "thing" after rotation? RIP Operative.
I honestly don't see it. Don't get me wrong, I like where they are going with the next set and the possibilities but at the same time the value we are losing from the last set while other classes don't see the same value loss (except Warlock & Mage, serious guys - my sympathies) seems like my new go to class (after warrior went "herp derp I smorc") is getting a bit of a middle finger.
Priest is in the best position to make Highlander decks work. Kazakus is obviously a big deal, as is Raza, and Priest might even substitute a Greater Healing Potion instead of Reno to keep up that healing capability. With Shadow Visions coming in to add more consistency to Priest decks, it looks like Highlander Priest has the best chance to survive, probably in some kind of N'Zoth variant (N'Zoth swing can challenge Jades).
As for Dragon Priest, yeah, it's going to hit the bucket. At the very least, with both early game dragon-related taunts gone, it cannot be the tempo deck it currently is. Similar orphans were left behind when the majority of Mechs rotated out, it seems to be just poor planning by Blizzard or perhaps even intentional buffing of an archetype just before it becomes unviable. Drakonid Operative is such a powerful card that I'm sure people will still try to make it work, but I'm not sure how successful that will be.
Yeah, I'm excited about shadow visions and I agree that priest has the best chance going forward with the highlander style, that's a good point of shadow visions though. I also know that Trump had expanded on the virtual infinite healing of Preist of the Feast with 2x Shadow Visions. It's not 1 mana value (*side eye glances druids*) but infinite 2 mana value sounds good.
Maybe go highlander style except double up on shadow visions and Shadowform.
As I wrote that it just occurred to me.....no, no no no. Double up on just Shadow Visions with single Shadow Form? Because the Shadow Visions can get you the double Shadowform, Healing Pots, whatever else you may need. You still maintain the possible infinite 3 heal from POF..... I think you got me going here, Guardian.
Thanks!

I have explored the significance of Shadow Visions in a blog post as well: http://www.kilkku.com/oldguardian/2017/03/journey-to-ungoro-shadow-visions/
