I'm sure this topic has been done to death, but I'm hoping mine is different enough to warrant a new thread. I recently got back into Hearthstone for Karazhan after a hiatus because it seemed like the meta was already stale a few weeks after Old Gods. I saw some interesting new archetypes and found myself actually having fun again, not knowing exactly what my opponent was running and how every game was going to play out. I got trounced hard by a Discard Lock and thought, "Wow, is that actually viable now?". I needed Lock for my dailies anyway so I threw something together loosely based on a list from here and headed into Casual to test and tweak it.
It seemed pretty inconsistent but still fun. Within the few matches is a golden Res Priest. I held my own for a good while until he stabilized with massive healing from Priest of the Feast. I get a friend request after the game, which never ends well, but I accept because there's never anyone around for my Friend-related quests or to discuss archetypes with, plus he won so he's probably not friending just to throw salt in my eyes. Boy was I wrong. "playing zoo in casual? what a *expletives deleted*". I wanted to ask him where I should screw around with my 1000 dust deck day 1 of the new Standard instead when of course he defriended.
Did I miss something? Was he just being ironic? Is Discolock somehow more unfair than Res Priest? Anyone have similar experiences? Is it just the NA Region? I know there will always be trolls, but why be salty after winning soundly? Forget the community scaring off new players, even vets would regret coming back to this dumpster fire.
