Underrated: I think ChumpHS is one of the better streamers around. I watch him in the morning so i don’t wake my wife up, he’s pretty monotone, so I never have to worry about him screaming at the camera. He plays several different builds that are uncommon, he’s very creative and has a great handle on the game and the meta.
Overrated: dog. First off, he’s too lazy to capitalize his name, second he clicks millions of times and his mouse noise drives me crazy. Just clicks constantly for NO reason. When he misplays, he almost always says something like “well, i wasn’t really paying attention.” He does not own his mistakes as many other streamers do, instead blames others, RNG, or other silly reasoning. He’s so popularly, And I’m not really sure why.
Again, please, no flaming !!! I’d love to hear your thoughts and reasonings! Who do you learn the most from? Who is incredibly popular but isn’t even that decent at the game?
Edit: I just found another topic talking about “favorite” streamers in another topic, i didn’t realize that existed. Let’s keep this thread based on overrated/underrated and why, and stay away from favorites discussions, so we don’t double up on threads.
Dog is quite literally one of the best players in the world(that's actually a fact), and he's nowhere near one of the most salty.
On topic:
Most overrated: Kripp. He's boring to watch, and he isn't as good as most of his moronic viewers make him out to be. He's only as popular as he is because he has been streaming HS since the very beginning, and already had a massive following even before the game released.
Most underrated: Apxvoid. He's the most chill streamer I ever watched, he's EXTREMELY good skill wise(even most pro players turn to his tempo mage lists) and he's just a great guy overall. Too bad he recently stopped streaming.

I did not say dog is not a good player. I agree that he is. Nor did i say he is the saltiest! My reasonings were why i believe he is overrated.
I agree completely about Kripp. Some of my more casual friends think he’s the Jesus of Hearthstone, and i believe that although some of his videos are helpful to new players, he often misleads them.
I agree that APXvoid is a very solid player! I think he is not as popular because a lot of people find his voice annoying, though. I could be wrong. Thanks for your thoughts!

Whether or not Kripp is boring to watch is subjective. While I don't think he is super good or brilliant I do enjoy watching him. I do agree some of his viewers are moronic but honestly that can be said about every hearthstone streamer.
Personally I enjoy watching anyone who is consistently willing to play decks that aren't meta staples. Any one who specializes in that I enjoy watching.

If that's what you like watching, you could watch someone like Noxious, who is way more entertaining and actually makes original decks, as opposed to copying other people's ideas and streaming them under the pretence that he created them himself(exhibit A: kripp's video about mill druid, a deck which he DID NOT invent). Noxious also never comes off as someone who's trying to pass for a pro player, but every single video kripp does has him acting as if he actually knows more about the game than the actual pros. And his rank 13 viewers eat it up.

I wish i could give you multiple thumbs ups, you are spot on about both Kripp and Noxious!!
I also watch noxious and have since beta, he is very entertaining. Though when he was playing gwent I tuned out, I really dislike that game.
I don't get that impression in regards to Kripp. I hear a lot of people who think the same about Kripp but I don't see it. Also throwing around rank as if that is an indicator of the type of people they are is the sort of thing that really dissuades me from your arguments. I don't always watch streamers for their skill, I watch them for the entertainment value. Kripp entertains me. I watch firebat because I really like deck doctor. I watch Disguised toast because he will make and play wacky decks and I enjoy his interaction videos. I like Hafu because she is very good at arena which I find entertaining. I like Kripp because he unequivocally doesn't give a shit about trolls. I enjoy Trump because of his production value and trolling, etc etc.

I don't think you get my point. My point is that, it would be one thing if Kripp was simply a fun streamer and had an attitude to match it. The thing, he tends to act more like the average hearthstone redditor, in that he poses as someone who actually knows a lot about the game, while talking about everything in a condescending way. Maybe that's just me, but eversince I tryed giving him a try myself, that's the impression I got.
Also, him using the whole magicamy scandal to get more viewers, while not having any solid proof that it actually happened was just disgusting. We're talking about potentially shaming someone who is innocent, and possibly contributing to ruin their career, in order to fuel your own youtube viewership. Why people didn't even bat an eye about it at the time is beyond me.

I get what you are saying. It's just that, what you are saying is purely subjective. I don't get that impression and I find him entertaining. You don't, and there is nothing wrong with that. But again considering you're throwing around rank as legitimate way to judge people I'd say the irony is strong.
As far as the whole magicamy scandal, A LOT of streamers weighed in on the matter, not just Kripp. A lot of streamers who had no more first hand information than him. I didn't follow it too closely myself, as I couldn't really bother to care much about it.
Overrated - Easily Kripp... He is boring, salty and not competetive Underrated - StanCifka - This guy plays creative decks and is pretty good with them :)
