Welcome!
Hello everyone! Thanks so much for helping test this next version of innkeeper. I've spent almost every min of my free time working on this next version. [I didnt even get past rank 20 this season cause it was all innkeeper!]
So first - keep in mind that this is just an innkeeper update, and has no hearthpwn side changes to go with it yet. A different team will be working on updating the collection system and so on, so fear not!
Also should note, that this innkeeper patch is the first step to something really cool. Which I will get into!
Hearthstone Logger - we now use the built in logger to support one of the features in this! However, be warned that some users report that hearthstone lags when the logger is enabled. Sadly there is no much we can do about this. In the settings we let you disable this feature if it does cause lag. If it does, please report it anyway!
Right now the logger is being user simply for the overlay. But this is basically a test. The end goal is to be the all in one hearthstone tool. Game tracking for yourself, and more importantly, GLOBAL deck stats. We will be able to give every deck on the site a win and lose rate (as long as the person using the deck has innkeeper) We can also show win and lose rate on a per card bases. None of that is in this build tho :( but this IS the first step!
Deck Exports - We now let you export your deck to hearthpwn with a single click!
As long as innkeeper is running while you edit and make decks, innkeeper will always know your decks. However, as you have all made your decks without this version of innkeeper, you will have to verify them, which is simple!
Grey decks means innkeeper does not know what they are. Simply view them once in the edit screen, and they will light up. At this point ,innkeeper should always remember them.
Themes - We will launch with a few themes to start. Add a few more, but we do hope to open up an api where players and streamers can add their own! People can already edit them by simply going into the overlay.css file and changing it up!
Tracking or not- Not everyone wants their overlay to update as they draw cards. We also allow for a static listing of your cards, which is handy for streamers who dont want to take a SS of their deck every single time. The plus side is, you can disable the hearthstone logger ,and still display a static overlay!
Arena and Brawl - it just works here too, as long as innkeeper is running, itll know your arena deck when you play, and also display your wins and loses
Drag it around - you can move the overlay around by dragging the little innkeeper dude around.
Region Lock
Users have been asking us to make it so innkeeper wont sync if you are not playing the region you care about. We have this in now... kind of....
This works on 90% of computers, B.net saves the last selected region to %appdata%\battle.net inside a randomly named .config file. However on some computers, this file is empty (we have no idea why)
Give this a test, and if it does not work for you, attach your log, and make a post!
Reporting Issues
When you run into an issue, make a new thread. Also attach your logs. Logs can be found in %localappdata%\innkeeper\logs (Just paste that with the %'s indo a folder address bar)
Download and getting started
All right! so first up, please dont share this out. If you have other people that want to test, send me a pm instead.
It could be viable to have a breakdown of testing beyond just putting all results together. For example you could group all casual games together and try to post ranking results by level in ranked. Its obviously more work but having a fast and hard number + a more detailed breakdown could be useful to those looking for stats. If for instance someone is playing a lot of lvl 20-17 and having a lot of losses its statistically important to represent that a deck is perhaps challenging to pilot where as if there is a lot of success at higher levels with it.
I haven't toyed with it at all I was just making a quick comment based on what I was reading. I look forward to playing with this tonight though. Generally speaking its good to keep some of these things in mind as I assume you are still developing some of this as you go.

that's actually the goal, when we store a win, we are going to grab the rank as well. A decks win/lose rate at different brackets (and even regions) are super important!

No problem, I just wasn't sure of that was the goal.
You could also store results by season for decks that see play for multiple seasons you could log the change of the results from season to season that way. I suppose thats not very hard to track though just so long as you take the date played for each game logged though.
Also, I know that the expectations right now are all on the innkeeper client and not hearthpwn but is it possible to have decklists that you are the creator of automatically update themselves on hearthpwn potentially in the future as you change them in your own hearthstone client using the innkeeper client to reflect the changes to your deck?
This has little to do with anything and just me being curious if that is the future intent of hearthpwn.

That's something we actually talked about doing, but it has some crazy issues when we tried to plan it out. Im no against looking at it again down the road. Will just be a tricky one to solve
I don't quite get how works the verify option. When first time i started Innkeeper, all of my decks where highlighted, and only the ones not filled weren't. Today all of my decks needed verification.
Anyway I'd love to see realtime possible secrets that enemy have (not sure if implemented, havent played much), the ability to check how much of 3 wins i have (for that 10 gold), maybe tracking opponents deck. Generaly, things that have hearthstone deck tracker which are pretty useful.

could you make this into its own thread please :) I have some questions about how you ran into this!
as for the other features, those are all things at some point we want to do. I just had to cut off the feature list at some point or we would never release anything ;P
1 Try to edit your brawl deck with inkeeper being on.
First time i just press 'edit' and then 'done' without changing deck - overlay didnt show deck. Second time, after restarting HS, I press 'edit', remove one card and then add it again - overlay is showing

was this during your "first" run of hearthstone after installing the new innkeeper? If so my guess is HS just didnt have the logging enabled yet. If this wasnt the first run of hearthstone sense the new innkeeper, then im not sure.
I need to add a message to the app, if it notices HS is already running when its ran for the first time, would help some i think.
nothing planned right now. As hearthpwn is in english, its not to much of a priority to translate it at this time (plus id have to rework it to handle various locals)
With that said, adding various languages is something we have talked about adding to hour hearthpwn DB. if that is something we end up doing, then I might look into it on the innkeeper side too.
On the "export and verify decks" screen there are exactly 9 deck slots available. Have plans been made for how to handle the additional deck slots that are coming this Spring?

ALSO everyone check your http://www.hearthpwn.com/account/titles page. you should have a new title, that stands out a little bit ;)
What has been added?

Overlay!
This is the next big one!

Please make sure innkeeper is already closed (check your system tray!) this will install OVER your current version. The version will stay the same.

As a random comment on the logging.

Will download the update tonight and take a look! Seems like you've got some exciting features in the program!

1) Is it only me or overlay doesnt work in Brawl?
2) Overlay is always on top even if you are in another application and Hearthstone is in background... Can you add option for this?
1 Try to edit your brawl deck with inkeeper being on. 2 It would be nice if overlay wasn't always on top.
I need to add a message to the app, if it notices HS is already running when its ran for the first time, would help some i think.

Do you mind sharing roadmap of future feature implementation and maybe ETA of these big updates?
New Version is out.
Make sure innkeeper is fully closed (out of system tray) and download from link and install)
