Not a bug. Not counter-intuitive. One could say that gain control is synonym to gain ownership. When is blizz using limited vocabulary, some people are getting ´´confused´´(cause they are not experienced enough and are not familiar with rare situations, its understandable), if cards would have long descriptions people would find it too complicated (which is big no no for blizz, sadly).
If there is some kind of exception of ´´owning´´ a card, its written in description ( Shadow Madness )
if cards would have long descriptions people would find it too complicated (which is big no no for blizz, sadly).
Changing the wording to "return to its controller's hand" wouldn't make the description any longer, and it would completely resolve this confusion.
I've had the same thing happen to me, where my Ysera got taken by Sylvanas Windrunner, and I tried to Dream it back to my hand, only to discover that owner = controller. Having played Magic for most of my life, it was quite a surprise.
I agree that the wording should be changed to "controller's hand". Or they could bring mind control back to 8 and allow the minion to be bounced to the owner's hand (giving counterplay is always better than straight up nerfing cards just because people are whining).

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.

noticed a feature in the game that seems counter-intuitive.
I played a Ysera, which got Mind Controlled by my opponent. When I attempted to Dream the Ysera, it went into my opponent's hand.
Mind Control clearly states, "Gain CONTROL of target creature, not gain OWNERSHIP of it," while Dream states " return a minion to its OWNER's hand."
Not sure if this is a bug or if it is meant to be part of the game's mechanics. what do y'all think?
