if your hero has attack power, it gets "turned on" when your turn starts, and off when it ends, so if your hero can do damage, it will then damage your creatures when they "fight each other"
At the end of your turn, you'll notice that your weapon gets sealed off, and the attack value on your hero portrait disappears. However, during your turn, your hero has an attack value and health value just like your minions. It's always been like this, though it's not clear if it's an intended feature. Blizzard shows not intent on removing it, though.
Misdirect makes your creature attack your hero... sure.
Is there a reason why it is also making my hero's weapon kill my creature too?
Is this new?!
