So, everybody knows Paladin is invading the ladder, it's pretty ridiculous, 50% of my games are with paladin.
I play Token/Midrange Druid, Tempo Mage, and Zoolock. I have a Patron Warrior built, but I haven't had success with it.
I don't feel like any of these decks are particularly good in the meta, but if you guys think otherwise, I would love to know.
Another option is to keep learning Patron Warrior, which could be an option, can anyone link me or show me a in-depth guide to playing patron? It would really help, I'm down to study that shit, thanks.
The key to Patron Warrior is the mulligan and patience. It's not an easy deck to teach, because every decision is situational. There are times when it is a good idea to throw a naked Patron on an empty board, but there are times when you have to hold it for the 8-mana combo.
One of the most important skillset is know when to equip Death Bite (no, it's not every turn 4), because the turn that you equip it affects the turn that you deathrattle it. You also want to get the most out of your Acolytes. For example, after I taskmaster my Acolyte and make it a 3/2 while drawing a card, i'd attack into a 1/1 instead of a 3/3. That way, i'm guaranteed 3 cards from him, which is huge value. Especially considering i can Fiery War Axe the 3/3 later anyway. Same trick can be applied to Armorsmith to get that extra armor.
The most important thing is to be patient. There will be game where you just don't draw the combo and you just die with an empty board. That is okay, because most of the time a naked Frothing or 4 mana Dread Crosair won't save you regardless, so just hold them in and pray for that topdeck warsong (provided you have done your best to cycle through as many cards as you can".
Your enemy board is your win condition. You should be happy if he has 7 minions on his side. Because that means you are basically 1 draw/ turn away from winning.
Most of the time the wins come from nowhere. I had a game with Dragon Priest got me down to 11 life, full board with 2 Twilight Guardians. I have one charge of Death Bite left. Next thing, i dropped Warsong-Frothing-Dread Crosair-Dread Crosair, Deathbite into Twilight Guardian, Whirlwind, Execute the other Guardian, and followed by an Inner Rage on Frothing.
He was dead the moment my turn started, but it was only possible because i held back those Dread Crosairs. So, moral of the story, Patience.
