We all know the rope. A simple mechanic to let us know time is running out. Hell there is even a card that shortens this time. However with the the release of TGT the value of the rope has become apparent.
To often I and others will spam through our plays. Trying to churn out as many wins as possible in the quickest time. This is one of the main driving factors behind aggro decks. Yet when you watch a tournament you will notice that ropes appears almost every turn. Reason for this is simple. It gives you time to think of all the possible plays and to select the best one. While you may think you know the right play off the top of your head, there may be another play that would be better. Is it not worth a little time to review that play?
Another added benefit to going to the rope every play is it annoys the living hell out of aggro players. By making games last as long as possible you are extending the time they have to play one match. So while they play an aggro deck to get quick wins, the player who ropes every turn is denying them the value of the aggro deck, not to mention has more time to look over every possible play to counter the aggro player. Not to mention nothing is more funny then watching a hunter concede rather then going through max time turns every match. And who doesnt love pissing off hunter players?
Roping every turn to piss someone off because you don't like his class/deck is just being a dick. Grow up.
In tournaments the players pretty much know 90% of the cards in the opponents deck so there is a point in quickly going over the possible hands and playing around them. No such thing on ladder.
Did you read the thread???? By your response I would say no..The fact that every one takes one aspect of this post about roping and see thats all its about .... Sorry but you clearly did not understand it. Im not advocating to rope hunters to be a dick, I just mentioned its an added benefit. I also have no bias class....I may not like face hunter as its brainless build, but I dont fault them for exploiting blizzards stupidity. As for those who say they have no time cause of this that and the other... Im sorry your time management is a problem.

Even so, your other point was that you can think and plan future turns and while you can do that to a certain extent, it all comes down to what your opponent plays, and as there is no certain way of truly knowing what your opponent has in his hand, you're basically just wasting your own and your opponent's time.
This Thread Sponosored By Lifecoach :D:D but yeaah the rope is a useful tool for control decks and combo decks as often their turns will take longer to decide the newest and most efficient course of action and also allow that turn to stall or to set up the next few turns.

I would say to think it through is better then to spam.
Or you know, just end the turn--- is it better than that?
THANK YOU!!!!!
Chiv, that makes a ton of sense. I appreciate the advice.
