Just seeing if anyone thinks its worth pre-ordering BRM with only seeing 9 cards so far. i think the cardback is pretty cool, but the set so far isnt impressive to me. The only card im excited for so far is Hungry Dragon.
This seems like a silly question, they aren't going to release a new adventure and fill it with shitty cards. There will definitely be cards that are required for a new meta and you will have to buy it eventually anyways whether it be with cash or gold. Not to mention the card back is awesome.
It was pretty genius of them to give out the preorder card back early. I didn't much care before, but now that I see everyone using it, I kind of want it.
If you're going to buy BRM anyway, you might as well preorder. If not, then don't.
I have a very hard time believing that obtaining all of BRM won't be worth it. Naxx had a few turds in it, but also some really fantastic cards.
Preorders are just marketing schemes that gaming companies use to get money without delivering the content first. They always add some type of "free" gift to the transaction.

I don't think op was confused about the nature of preorders...

Yes and no. Blizzard is a pretty reputable company and it's not like they're still working to finish the content, so I have no problem with them offering a pre-order. It's also great for release day to lighten the load on the store which has been infamously buggy during releases.
I'd say the current revealed card pool is going to make some showing in the next set of meta decks. Dragon Egg and Hungry Dragon look especially enticing. So if you're deciding just off what we currently see, I think it's still a good investment.
I do not understand what is the point of asking if it is worth to it to spend 22 euros or 25 dollars for brm. You people should not be browsing this website in the 1st place. It is hearthstone the videogame. Either you spend money on it or you play it for free. You people should move on with your lives if it really hurts for you to pay 22 euros for the hs adventure. Me, I am not in the position to judge or tell people how to waste their own money or their time. Like any other things in the world. We have a choice. Why not try going outdoors and find another hobby that it is 100% free and no dlc add-ons no extra paying for anything required.
Good luck finding another hobby that only costs ~$25 every 6 months or so.
I would bare in mind the wing structure of adventures and how wings are unlocked without pre-ordering or buying it as a whole. Basically if you want something in the later wings you might as well pre-order it, if you are only interested in a few cards in the earlier wings just buy, individually, the first few. If you kinda like them all, pre-order it.
Hungry Dragon will probably be towards the end, I cant see it being in Blackrock Depths (1st wing with Dark Iron Dwarfs) or Molton Core (2nd wing with fire/lava elemental stuff).
Don't even kid yourself. If you're into HS you're going to be getting the adventure anyway. Even the ones that keep going on about, "lol these cards suck and are so unimpressive".
3500 gold that is it i dont give a crap about the cardbacks, not givin away my cash on free to play game, plus Bloodborne is coming out in 3 days the cash will go towards that game
well i will say this for the 100th time - yes it will be worth it.. they will never release a thing without good cards in it.. naxxramas had 10 good cards 5 good but situational and 15 niche/bad cards.. still shaked the meta and is "a must have" nowadays just becouse you can't even compete without zombie chows, belchers, mad scientist and loatheb.. it will be exacly the same story with BRM just different type of cards btw from the 12 cards so far atleast half of them are pretty good and this ratio is actually amazing compared to naxx.. ppl just over react and expect insane powercreep and stuff (which we will somehow get in the later wings for sure) i think BRM will totally surprise all of you who are underestimating it and it will make ppl like me who pre-ordered already happy to spend 22 euros every few months for their hobby edit; afterall nefarian will be the last legendary and he is totally KT status so i expect big impact from this guy edit2: whoever is pre-ordering new games and stuff which hasnt been even out yet rly doesnt know how to spend his money..atleast hearthstone has a history with these stuff and nobody was ever regreting the fact they bought naxx for example - not going to happen with BRM aswell
I personally despise pre-orders from all companies without having played a beta. There is only one company I would pre order from and that's CD project red.
And I sill will preoder BRM because:
1. it's the faster
2. I'm going to buy the adventure anyway
in a card game it's really next to impossible to pass an expansion up because there might be just that one card you'll need. Also I find some of the released cards really interesting.
I pre-ordered but I honestly don't think this is going to be a great one. They are too focused on trying to slow the game down a bit in some ways but not introducing new mechanics and worrying too much about balancing all the things. I have a feeling there may just be more of the same to come out of the reveals, a bunch of cards that are good situationally but not much that is strong on its own. Which is fine, but I'll be shocked if it isn't maybe 1-2 standout cards total out of the whole adventure. I'd love to be wrong.
Even the situational cards are worth getting if you are planning on playing HS for a while. Nothing gets rotated out, (so far) so down the road, what might be a sucky card now, could be clutch. For instance, everyone is down on the new Hunter card that gets the buff only if your hand is empty. Right now its meh.... But down the road, when they add discard effects to the game(which they will), its value will likely skyrocket.

This can be the case in some instances but not with Blizzard in the case of Hearthstone. Blizzard does not need the cash to fund development. And in the case of BRM, the content appears to be mostly developed already. The BRM pre-order is basically a way for Blizzard to (1) offer an incentive to purchase the expansion will real money rather than gold [the exclusive card back], and (2) avoid a rush on their payment authentication server when BRM is released.
Blizzard has used pre-orders as a marketing tactic in the past though. They've used pre-orders for a future expansion of WOW to try to ensure people are committed to WOW when a rival game is expected to be released prior to the release of the future expansion.

I believe Blizzard has explicitly stated that they don't wish to add that type of mechanic.

Thoughts?
Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
Prepare yourself for the "it's not just cards, it's the wings you pay for!" shitload train.
"The light shall burn you!" - heals face.

I'm just talking about preorders in general. Anyways, I have enough gold, so I can buy the wings as they come out anyways.
Rather buy now than be stuck in shop during launch.

edit; afterall nefarian will be the last legendary and he is totally KT status so i expect big impact from this guy

I wasn't aware of that. Do you have a link?
