I have been playing since the grand tournament on and off and would reach rank 10 every month. Then old gods came out and I would play consistently and reach rank 5 every season. Once Streets of Gadgetzan was released I would struggle to even reach rank 10. Now in this Meta I reached rank 10 like nothing and I keep going up (Currently rank 7 and doing well). I cant play as often since I got a full time job but when I do play I have a decent win ratio. I kinda want to blame the pirates and jade druid or is it that I am better at a slower meta? Thoughts?
It's probably because everyone is still trying to create their own decks and trying to see which cards are really viable, I can say the same for myself with all the new cards fluctuating we were able to reach it a little easier
The level floors really help you from progressing backwards, and this meta is only slightly slower. To be fair pirate warrior and jade druid are like auto pilot. I've been climbing with a control priest variant and have destroyed both those decks completely. I might take a few hits from those auto click decks but they run out of gas quick. Only the first month of the new meta. Give a bit , but jade druid will always be the scourge that it is until they either nerd jade idol , which they won't or until the new year which is more likely.
Wait, how do you destroy jade druids with control priest?

I don't know what this fella means by Control Priest as that could be a number of things, but the Priest DK helps kill the larger Jades and then you just tech in Geist and run Lyra/Free From Amber/Obsidian Destroyer to finish. It's a lot easier with Dragon Priest but Control does have a reasonable chance against them.

The fact that you've "destroyed" jade druid with your control priest should tell you that jade druid is in fact not "auto-pilot". If it were, you would've had a negative winratio against it.
Really love these ppl that think playing control priest means somehow skill. Blizzard just give us the easiest control deck possibile, aka: raza kazakus priest with 100 come back cards. Priest was the only class that got sinergy cards in 3 exp for the same deck. Now all can play control and feel skilled and safe behind those comeback cards.
Really curious to see those ppl playing the old handlock.
People are still experimenting,if you don't experiment yourself but play already refined decks from old expansions then it's only natural to achieve higher ranks. And reaching rank 5 doesn't take that much of time.I and most of my friends need about 6 to 14 hours depending on what we play.In a span of an entire month,it's pretty easy if you ask me.
Biggest problem are the card draw decks right now. In the past Blizzard limited how useful card draw cards were because they were so powerful. Now they've given the select few decks really overpowered draw engines and everyone else just prays they draw the right cards (don't) and then lose
No one would dream of giving Hunter the type of card draw Druid or Mage have because that's "overpowered" but you never see hunter doing a million damage in a single turn. Good class balance Blizzard.

Sorry for the off topic!
