Righto so here are a bunch of cards that support or synergize with a possible dragon mage! The obvious theme of course is the Blue Dragonflight, spell play, card draw, and other similar things we've seen the Blue dragons do in hearthstone, so here we go!
Mages can run many little spells and who knows maybe this could even lead into a possible mill mage deck via spare parts and the many one cost spells. Aside from that it's got enough health to hopefully get use out of it.
Some AoE damage that mage is known for in a new light, blow up a friendly dragon and deal a bunch of damage. Can really get crazy if you sac one of the legendaries.
Essentially things like Fireball and Frostbolt now deal their damage split up into incriments of 1 to all enemies. Lots of interesting possibilities since now you could freeze more than one target, AoE spells are un-effected this is only single target damage spells.
Just some extra card draw avalible in a new way, wanted to use some more of the Start of your turn style secret while holding onto that dragon flavor.
The arcane missles added to your hand does not proc his effect, important to note there, huge synergy with just about anything spell related lots of crazy things can be done here.
Idea here is that all the enemy minions get this cool dark-arcane colored frozen effect on them, just don't do it when they have taunt up if you're trying to attack. Gotta stall for that late game doe.
This is essentially a risky board-control maneuver that both players can benefit from. Makes you think about what you're doing when you're playing which I love.
Some more of that sweet sweet spell damages, and if you've got more dragons you get more spell damages! Whats not to love? Some attack here is sacrificed for more survivability.
A different take on the dragon in your hand mechanic, vulnerable to silence but much fun to be had with ysera and Malygos.
Three words. Mage. Dragon. Patron.
A mage staff, a dragon staff no less. With all the dragon spell perks! If you reveal a dragon that doesen't have a spell cost equal to it's mana cost you get a 0 mana draw a card spell.
While it's usually warlocks that discard things I loved the idea of sacrificing some magical power for a higher mana cost creature, you're sacrificing a minimum of 8 mana in value to get it however, operating in a manner similar to ramp druid.
Low cost legendary that gives you low cost spells, very Blue oriented but not just limited to mage spells. kind of like a more percise yet mabye not as effective saarad.
Not in the usual battlecry format Kalecgos gives you spells from your opponent as long as you've got a draconic buddy in your hand for him to rely on. RNG spells very mage-esq!
More of a fun card, it'd be pretty funny to see two fireballs hit your own face, youtube videos would be priceless.
