Thoughts? I always have trouble when it comes to balancing cards, and I'm having doubts about this one as well. Al'ar deathrattle seem too powerful to justify Sunstrider's stats and effects, but I don't want to take it out.
I'd personally love to see the bloody elf in action!
Have some thoughts about the phoenix - wouldn't it be better balance-wise if there were brackets: Can be triggered only once per turn? This effect gives the opponent a counter and it's still a valuable trade - to kill a 3/3 twice.
Kudos for the idea!
I agree, that might be good for clarification and balance :)
The effect probably should be "whenever your oponent casts a spell, redirect it to an enemy minons" or such (because you really can't redirect something like flamestrike)
Balancewise: It has worse stats than troggzor, but it actually nullifies your oponents ability to single target remove it (you can remove troggzor with a fireball while summoning the 3/5, but there's no reason you ever wanted to fireball kael).
The deathrattle though is really hard to calculate. For a start, kael is really wek to silence/polymorph, but if it doesn't get silenced, the value could be amazing- or not.. It's still just 3 damage per turn .. hmm.
Only the combination of both effects really could make this kael viable, because your oponent cannot ignore the spelldirect, leading to him having to summon A'lar
But then how would single target spells be redirected? I am still unsure how I could word the text of the card...I think that balancewise Al'ar does make Kael'thas somewhat viable, otherwise he would be extremely vulnerable to silence.

Should be a 7/5
