Too good for its cost/stats IMO. With "standard" 2-drop stats its effect should probably be "Battlecry: Look at your opponent's hand." I could definitely live with that, would love for this type of effect to be in the game.
I do actually like the concept I think it would be better as an epic 4/5 costed at 5 that would read "every time your opponent draws a card. If that card is a mech do 1 dmg to the enemy hero" It would let you see every card top decked and even give you the possibility of getting a little value out of it. It would not have to be mech it could be beast or murloc or any tribe. I get that this would be a very different card but seems like it could be more balanced as their is still some guessing in what was already in the hand before the draws. I also feel the ability to read top decks is powerful enough you would not want to get this out right off the start of the game which is why I would want it to cost at least 4.
I have to love the concept as even though I feel it needs work it has my imagination sparked now which I must thank you for!

Yeah that's how I designed it at first but then realized this is less wordy. Since this is likely to die really fast anyway, don't think there's too big of a difference.
I'd be very curious to see how good this card would actually be in the game.

As the code is now it would be a great tool in deciding plays because you know the answers they have and every top end deck would run at least 1 because it also has to be removed at all costs. If it was made into a battle cry it would be a more situational at least 1 of in most decks I think. It would not be terribly strong against aggro but at least has a body but you can use it even late game to check for combos.

Well. Would they? The point of low drops in control decks is to prevent your death against aggro. This guy does nothing late-game even though situationally it's very powerful to know what cards the other person has. In most control matchups though, you need to play around all the cards in their deck anyway, making the order in which they draw them generally irrelevant and so I don't know that a card like this would be useful. Let's say you're playing against druid and want to see if they have combo. Ok you play this and see they have only force of nature. Ok so what? What will change in your play? Probably nothing since you can't drop to combo range in case they topdeck it anyway.
However, in aggro, different story. If you know what AoE they have/don't have, then you can make much different plays. If you see they don't have the flamestrike, then you can all-in relatively safely, but you are playing a vanilla 3/2 which is pretty crap compared to other aggro cards right now.
I think it's really not obvious how/if this card would be used in ranked.
In arena, yes, definitely a great arena card. Then you can see what they have in their deck and what kind of removal they drew. Really strong ability because you don't know the decklist of the opponent like you do most of the time on ladder.
yes

Or maybe just allow cards drawn to be seen.
Priest (60) / Warrior (49) / Hunter (47) / Mage (45) / Warlock (36) / Druid (35) / Shaman (34) / Paladin (33) / Rogue (19)
