So I've been watching some high level streamers and I've noticed something that could be potentially bad for the game, and it is in regards to high level constructed deck building.
Before I write further, it's very important that I make the distinction that this is NOT a P2W thread! Lots of people acquire crazy good cards through arena or just lots and lots of constructed play. That being said, what I've noticed about high level decks is this:
Nat Pagle x1
Ragnaros x1
Sylvanas Windrunner x1
Tinkmaster Overspark x1
Cairne Bloodhoof x1
The Black Knight x1
Ysera x1
Class Legendary x1
Build around this with some early removal cards, some decent early to mid range minions (harvest golem, yeti, twilight drake most commonly) some board clear/removal in order to stall until you can drop a legendary every turn. Also Faceless Manipulators are rampant.
You are right that Hunters aren't doing this, but I have yet to see a rush down hunter at those lofty ranks. Every time one of the streamers faced the rush down hunters, he/she was rank 4 or so.
Also, the control locks don't seem to do it QUITE to this degree.
Warriors certainly do though, and I have seen Shamans doing it as well, waiting for that big Al'Akir + Rockbiter play, delaying with their plethora of early removals and taunts.
Also, rogues do it, but they substitute Ysera in favor of Thalnos, and Black Knight or Cairne in favor of Leeroy + Cold Blood or Abusive Sergeant.
I think it reflects what the class has in faction. warrior tapers off midgame, they dont really have many other great choices why not just stack legendary cards? This will change with the card pool increasing, i think this will also change in pve and raid content when that ever happens.
Additionally, i think meta changes entirely based on rank, i dont think "knowing the meta" works as much as, know the meta in your tier. You might want to stack more taunt then some one up in masters as your gunna see hunter much more.

So is this what we're really doing now?
