I think too many people hate on the runespear. More often than not it either helps me with a clutch volcano or healing rain or is neutral at worst (like the give your totems 2 health spell, maelstrom on an empty board, etc). It is annoying overloading when you don't need to but that rarely happens or if it does it's just 1 or 2 mana I didn't have much use for anyway that late in the game.
If any weapon should be considered the worst I would pick the priest one over runespear. Even in combo priest with all their low cost spells you never see it played. Or twig - very limited potential combo-wise and nobody ever uses it outside of people still copying savjz's old twig druid deck.
In any case, I wouldn't call runespear a "good" card, but it's far from the worst card in hearthstone.
