He isn't a card that sees any play, but I know that he did show up in StrifeCro's potential Krul Warlock list if the meta becomes more Jade-heavy.
The idea is that he is good for Krul the Unshackled in the same way that Infested Tauren is good for N'Zoth, the Corruptor. It allows you to play the card defensively, blocking an attacker that might otherwise prevent you from using it.
Again, this is simply theoretical on StrifeCro's part and I'm not sure I would necessarily keep it just for that reason. But it does show that sometimes old cards can be potentially revisited in the future.
Well, if you already have two of those, then go ahead and DE it. If not, then keep it. You never know.
Exactly this.
The card has not seen play till now, but one can never know I'd that may change with new cards being added soon to the game.
Anyways, if you had 2 regular copies (or as soon as you get them, which will happen sooner or later), get your dust from this golden one if you are looking to save dust/gold for more important cards :)
Felguard is honestly a really bad card. Sure u can play an over started taunt early in the game, but the penalty of loosing a mana crystal is such a big deal, especially if you are playing a slow deck such as Renolock. The down side of the card will continuously punish you until you get to 10 mana, so really playing this card costs you like 9 mana over the course of 6 turns. There are better taunts like Second Rate Bruiser that don't have too much of a draw back despite it being a tempo liability since it is a 5 mana 4/5 and even if you get it for three, chances are your opponent can remove it and develop a minion since he already has 3 minions ready to trade into it. Taunt is just not a very mechanic in the current state of the game. Minions that have it are very understated and lack tempo. In conclusion I would say the card is as good as dust, unless you enjoy loosing a lot.
After a two year experience of Hearthstone I can safely assume that my warlock understanding is good enough to tell you to DISENCHANT Felguard.
It will never see play in any decks before long. After some time playing I decided to stop keeping everys single card in my collection for the sake of "my collection" and instead craft the cards I really wanted to play with, goden or non golden. Seriously, for cards as weak as felguard do not hesitate.

Haha haha ha--unfortunately for me, it is my first felguard...

Yeah, i thought the destruction of one mana less will lead you to be completely out-tempo'ed, especially in long game
@AnthonyGiorgio---cool cool, interesting--very insightful advice, appreciate it! [random] btw, I just crafted my fav. card Ragnaros the Firelord in golden---super happy about it = DDD
Hey guys, so I just unpacked a golden Felguard--will he find play later or is he considered a default useless card?

Greatness, at any cost.

I agree with EthanoSmo.

Nice craft, you will even be reinbursed at the launch of the next expansion.
I love Hearthstone and afros.
that's the plan B]
No, a bad card such as Felguard won't be played for only the sake of a mediocre combo.
