This strategy is a bit more advanced and it involves screwing with your opponent's card draw. I've noticed that a lot of people seem to swear on card-drawing cards, but since only 8 cards can fit in your hand, I've theorized a strategy based on some of these card effects.
The concept is that, since everyone has only 30 cards in their deck and can only hold 8 in their hand, if your opponent has a great card advantage, but cannot make the plays he is looking for, there is a very strong likelihood that the more dangerous cards lays somewhere in his deck. Especially when he plays a lot of effects to draw extra cards, this strategy becomes very useful.
1. Wait for your opponent to have 6 or more cards in their hand (preferably 7, though it'll never be 8). 2. Activate any effect that gives your opponent cards. Always so that in the end he has 8 or more. 3. Your opponent is now forced to discard any card over 8 he draws, including the card he must draw next turn.
This strategy becomes very potent when you abuse your opponents' acolytes of pain and cultmasters, as they can easily rack up a lot of cards for your opponent to discard. You can even play cards to restore your opponents' acolytes' health and continue abusing him.
Why? Don't be mistaken; this strategy is very dangerous. It ensures your opponents' card advantage and often, it will cost you health or a creature advantage or your own card advantage. However, when timed correctly, it can remove a lot of cards from your opponents' deck cost efficiently. Provided that you are able to hold on for the rest of the game, you have quite possibly ruined your opponents' most valuable combos and win the game.
I once forced myself to concede because of my own card-draw.. was trying out the priest and had 2 northshire cleric on the field a lightwell and a bunch of other minions that where damaged. And silly me cast a holy nova and ended up drawing half my deck i'm sure.
Not to mention it took forever with the slow animations for each effect. So card draw is nice (and needed IMO, to keep momentum). But too much is more harmful than good. I had to learn the hard way : )
Prerequisites:
In your Hand: Coldlight Oracle or Naturalize
On the Opponent's field: Loot Hoarder, Acolyte of Pain, Cult Master, Northshire Cleric or similar.
In Your Opponent's Hand: (5,) 6 or 7 cards.
