Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm not overly great on social media, I might just post this and disappear.
Background: I loved D2, didn't like D3. Loved original Starcraft and Brood War, didn't care for Starcraft 2. Played a small amount of magic with a friend, but I'd say hearthstone is my first card card that I've actually gotten into.
I'm more of a Johnny player, although when I get tired of losing, I resort to being a Spike. Yep, I'll gladly play face hunter after losing a bunch with my giants rogue.
My first two games were as Ragnaros and I lost. Hard.
Next game as Nefarian. Won hard.
Next one as Ragnaros. Lost.
Next 2 has Nefarian. Lost. WTF? I played poorly, but I lost, and I got curious. So what would it take to win as Rag. My Johnny kicked in.
Played 2 more games as Nefarian, then finally got a chance to play as Rag again and lost to Eye for a mother fucking Eye on smashing Golemagg to the face of Nef with my low health Rag. I laughed so hard, but also had this moment of realization:
What if this is one big social experiment on Blizzard's part?
What if Rag is the Johnny/Timmy player expressed in a card deck, and what if Nefarian is Spike expressed in a card deck?
What if this is all a test? I saw a few funny comments about how Blizzard will let the person who wins as Rag design the next brawls, but I don't think that's what's going on (that would be like NSA level humorous).
What if this Tavern brawl is really a test to see which play style is viable in Hearthstone? Like is Johnny actually a viable player in the current Hearhtstone meta or is Spike the only one left standing out of the three?
Anyway, it's been fun. After my first brutal beat downs playing as Rag, I've got 3 of my 9 total wins under my belt as Rag. Yes, Nef is more consistent, no argument from me, but Rag creates a more fun feeling of win. So what do you think?
yeah this week is for all the ppl who complained that they didn't get to try new hero powers since like beta (majordomo is not a practical way of getting new hero power) and want to just slam all their big minions in the first few turns instead of hero power/do nothing or shoving early game in ur deck to counter aggro.
If you don't like it wait for next week lol it's not like this setup is here to stay.

Nice intro! Yes it could be blizzard toying with all of us to rile up our feelings.
