Interesting how many people display dislike for playing against decks whose strategy simply requires you to properly play around cards and optimize use of your resources. I find that strange... For me, I prefer a million times to play against those decks, since I can myself decide the outcome of the game with my plays, than against decks where I'm limited to drawing correctly in the first 2 to 3 turns in order to be able to survive and contest the game. That is mostly because I cannot control the order in which I draw my cards, so I have lower influence in the outcome of the game, whereas if the first case, my optimized play influences the game.
You've answered your own question. The utter predictability of Control Warrior is what makes it so unpleasant. Every single game is a drawn-out slog, trudging toward the same inevitable conclusion. No surprises, no thinking required. Just the same old optimized resource management we've all seen a million times. I'm yawning just thinking about it.
yes..and playing against keleseth, bonemare and scalebane in every game is completly different...
This is the type of deflection commonly used by a certain orange politician we all know and love. Pointing out something else's flaws does not mitigate the flaws of the thing that was actually being discussed.
I didn't say there were no other boring decks, archetypes, metas or playstyles. He wondered why Control Warrior, specifically, was hated, and I answered that question.
Moreover, Control Warrior has played more or less the same since the beginning of time. The cards you mentioned are new to this meta, at least.
it is you who is being presidential in this argument..The easiest way to put it is -more turns > more options > more thinking.. If all i have to do is depend on my first 5 turns draw and mulligan rng to stay alive..tell me. Where is the skill in that. Try thinking from the other perspective and not just through the eyes of patches ;)
Both priest decks (big and reno priest) do everything lame that old control warrior did in a less fun and more oppressive way so.........
I'm only glad to see Pirate Warrior go.
