Im f2p from beta with pretty big collection, currently progress is 8/9. Hunter is a real problem, Im about to craft DK - guess its pretty fun by itself, so it wont be just for Arthas. But Im in doubts, maybe there will be some cheep (at least for me) deck without DK in it.
Dark horse of this fight confirmed. Yesterday i was trying my decks and some netdecks (when i lost patience). Did him with my quest priest (wild), my jade druid, netdeck murloc hunter, netdeck commanding shout-sleep with fishes-murloc-berserk warrior, then noticed strategy with murlocs on Janna and Shaman and thought to try it with other classes. Put all murlocs i had in deck (even this two 6 cost) and two megasaurs and won it first try (as Paladin, Rogue, Warlock) without knowing lich king starting spell...
Summing up:
-warlock: murlock, two megasaurs + two power overhelming (low hp at start doesnt matter).
-rogue: murlocs, two megasaurs.
-paladin: murlocs, two megasaurs.
-shaman: murlocs (including those from class), two megasaurs (quest was too slow for me).
-mag: murlocs, two megasaurs, two mirror image, two sunfurry protector.
-priest: murlocs, two megasaurs.
-hunter: murlocs, two megasaurs + few spells (deck name: Ez Murloc (not mine)).
murloc aggro got me through about 6 of the heroes. Rogue druid and warrior are the only ones I dont reccomend. Rogue because pirate is better, druid because jade is better, and warrior because its impossible to deal 160 damage in 7 turns. If you have most of the legendary/epic murlocs or at least some you can win. It will take a lot of tries but you will definitely be able to get wins. If you dont have the cards or at least 2000 dust to spend on for fatigue warrior, don't even bother with lich king. If you can scrunge up the dust, and you have murlocs, then you should be able to win within maybe 5 or 6 hours. I dusted some legendaries that will rotate out next standard block that I know I probably won't use because I don't have the dust to play as many classes competitively at the top of the ladder as I would like. I only did such things because control paladins one of my favorite archetypes even though I have never played it because I don't have the dust and because I loved arthus back in warcraft 3. I wish you luck if you try to do it, it will get mind numbing
Yes, it's possible but with one except. Hunter, you need that molten Giants, yes, you can beat him with hyenas but it will be pain.
Other classes it's Murlocs for Mage, Rogue, Paladin, Shaman and ofc for Priest you can use anything.
2nd strategy i found here - Snail 1-2 plus Alarmobot and all your deck will be very big taunts, basic big bodies good too, and it ll be easy.
As i said, only hunter is a problem .Other - random, but easy for f2p players.

Murloc warrior on the first try
"Rogues do it from behind...sapped girls can't say no"
F2p? Easy, if you have been around for a while. F2p starting today? That would be incredibly tough.
