First of all this is not a salt thread. I didn't play a lot the last few days and I never played against an "Egg Warrior" (from NoHandsGamer) when I did. So I have no reason to be salty. And I don't cry for a nerf etc. as I'm interested in a profound discussion about this topic.
I just watched Grand Masters last weekend and the amount of cards drawn by Battle Rage was just insane. The Warrior even drew faster than an opposing Druid. But according to https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/news/23014810 card draw should be a limitation ("These are aspects that a class either doesn’t have or struggles to achieve effectively.") for Warrior, while it should be a strength for Druid. In longer matches the Warriors were often close to fatigue first no matter what class the opponent played. In a mirror match the warrior with the Battle Rage in hand won...
Battle Rage was never a super strong card, but with Risky Skipper it seems to be overperforming and looks like to achieve stronger results than the devs had in mind. The card will be no "problem" again when Risky Skipper leaves Standard. But I wonder if the devs are looking at it right now regarding a nerf or HoF as it counters the whole class identity alone.
What do you think? Is Battle Rage problematic in terms of class identity? If so, what should be done?
I might be wrong but I think class identity is specific to classic and that it might change with expansions. Hurting your own minions is definetly class identity so I feel that its probably fine since skipper is not in classic
Warrior strong point is not card draw, yes. But team 5 didn't state that card draw is the class weakness, either. The class weakness, is card generation , not card draw. So Battle rage is a good card draw, but it is the only good card draw engine the class have at the moment, after AoP was HOF
Warrior draws like crazy, thats fine. What I don't get, is why do some classes like warrior and Dh get so much draw it nut, while other classes have no card draw at all.
