So everyone sees those deck templates when you create a new deck... Mage has stuff like "Madness and Magic", Priest has "Hidden Dragon", Paladin has "The Mean Market". No one ever uses those. What if, players could make their own templates for themselves so that they don't need to have their favorite deck as a literal deck, but as a template that they can build at any time. This gives players the chance to experiment with new, exotic decks. What if players could share their templates to others, their friends or even publicly? I feel as if this would be pretty cool, maybe blizzard should take this up. Tell me what you think. Thanks!
There IS a plugin that you can get for Hearthpwn called Innkeeperthat has a feature that lets players import and export decks directly into Hearthstone or directly into Hearthpwn's database.
This makes getting decklists off of Hearthpwn into the game a very easy process, and functions essentially like what you are looking for right here.
Try it out! There's nothing wrong with using this plugin.
Giving people the opportunity to make their own templates would basically equal giving people more deck slots, the only difference between a template and an actual deck is that a template only exists client-side, while a deck is stored on the server. Being able to share your decks is a completely separate feature that I simply don't understand how it can be missing from the game until now. Even the most rookie programmer could write a piece of code that takes a deck and generates a unique string from it, then write another piece of code that takes the string and constructs the same deck from it.
Maybe the profile-feature Blizzard mentioned might happen will implement something similar, since it will apparently display your most popular decks. Being able to import them with one click would be pretty cool.
