I'm wondering whether to disenchant my cards from Naxx and, GnG. More than likely i will not be bothering with Wild as my collection isn't strong enough across all the expansions to have a competitive Wild setup.
I would be sad to lose all the cards from those collections but whats the point if not going to be using them?
If you are F2P player (or close to it) then yes you need the extra dust.
If you plan to invest both time and money in the game then you don't dust. More combos and possibilities might open up with future cards. For example, I will never stop playing Astral Communion, even when it rotates out of Std.
If i had the luxury of paying for 100's of packs then this would be a non-starter.
However finances are very tight currently as im moving cities, and jobs currently. so finding the expenses to fork out £200 or more on packs is highly unlikely.
Nah, I wouldn't dust them. If you get fed up with the meta in Standard, you can still play wild. Or if you want quickly to finish a quest, your low rank in wild might make that possible.
And you do not need to be competetive with all heroes to play wild. One single deck is enough. And making a single deck for wild is easy even if you do not have any wild card at all. Additionally, you will be able to use your wild Cards in any adventure and in brawls.
So all in all, I personally would not disentchant any of my wild Cards. But even if you need the dust, I'd Keep the top tier cards.
Also im not a huge fan of using ALL cards now there are so many in play with so many wild combinations, again using cards (legendaries) that i don't have and now will likely never have.
And i'm not a fan of having to stick to one hero type, i do like to have a range of viable decks across heroes.
EDIT: I'm actually enjoying the meta at the moment from first impressions, less aggro decks and those aggro decks that are being used can be more easily controlled.
apologies for playing devils advocate with your replies, I'm just trying to justify either way whether to d/e or not :)
No, I've no problems if you argue against my Statements. That's what I think is right. But eventually it's your collection and, thus, your decision.
I just think that wild will differ from the meta in Standard (although some Cards and decks (evolve shaman?) will make it into wild). So I myself will be happy if I can play from time to time with different decks in a different meta since the excitement from the beginning of Standard will start to fade in two months.
And I do not see the Advantage from dusting really good Cards like Piloted Shredder , Loatheb and Dr. Boom for the Little dust you get from them. 400 dust is a week making quests. But as I said, it's your decision.
Sod it. I've gone and done it. Sad but a necessary thing. Got 8k dust from doing it. Crafted Twin Emperor Vek'lor and Alexstrasza so far as they are/have been key cards for many decks. Gonna hold out before committing any more and see how the meta develops.
Dr. Boom was the card i wanted throughout but never had. And was saving for as they announced the change to standard and wild. Thank god i didn't craft it :)
