So i've drawn some legendaries but all of them mediocre. atm i've got 4 so i'm evaluating disenchanting them to get dr boom since i'm a casual player and dr boom can be put in most casual decks. I've got all expansions and have a few well working decks, but i'm not using my legendaries all too often.
The legendaries i have: -Eadric the pure -Prophet Velen -al'akir the windlord -onyxia
I'm very unsure if its a worth trade since 4 for 1 legendary isn't really favorable. So i'm looking for some input and thoughts on the matter. And if you've disenchanted all your legendaries to create boom i'd like to hear if it felt worth it to you.
There's a thread here somewhere on legendary card ranking, You might want to check it out. I'm not sure if it isn't slightly outdated though.
And to your question: I wouldn't disenchant anything as of now, because of the standard format and nerfs looming above our Heads (If you're not aware, check out this link: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/blog/19995505/a-new-way-to-play-2-2-2016). Granted the Legendaries you mentioned are probably not going to be nerfed (except for maybe Al'Akir the Windlord).
But with the introduction of the new expansion and the yearly rotation some of the cards may turn out to be more useful than they were before (e.g. Onyxia in a hypothetical Dragon Deck).
From what I understand you want to craft Dr. Boom? Mind that with the introduction of standard format Dr. Boom will only be available in Wild (e.g. the more unbalanced format), while Naxxramas and GvG cards will be rotating OUT of the standard format.
But the format changes aside - I disenchanted useless legendaries like crazy on my Free to Play account and crafting Dr. Boom felt well worth it as it fit in nearly all non-budget decks I was going to craft (Midrange Hunter, Mech Mage, Tempo Mage, Midrange Druid etc.).
Also, if I were to disenchant any of the legendaries mentioned by you It would probably only be: Eadric and Onyxia, maybe prophet Velen if you're not intent on playing Priest... buuuuut there's a slight chance Blizz might nerf Big Game Hunter so those cards might become staple... nobody knows).
Thank you for your post! After reading the link and thinking it through i'm leaning more towards keeping the cards. I'll look some more at my other cards and see how for i can get dust-wise by disenchanting non legendaries and maybe find a more favorable tradeup.
Have i understood it correct that the legendaries from the classic collection will be usable in the new standard format? I'm thinking it might be wiser to craft sylvanas if thats the case
al'akir the windlord is weak at the moment. Shaman needs to get more controlly, gain more buffs, or his mana cost needs to drop to 7 for him to become viable.
Prophet Velen is good for OTK priest, same with malygos.
Eadric the pure is good for a fast aggro meta, pinning their minions. Combined with Equality or Lay on hands, you can regain control of the board.
onyxia can strike fear into your opponent after a pure board clear and they don't have any AoE remaining to deal with the whelps.
They may be niche legendaries, but I would wait to disenchant.

Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?
Onyxia is decent in more aggressive dragon decks, either warrior or mage. It's fun playing Echo of Medivh on the Whelps and then throwing them on the board with a Knife Juggler.
Eadric , Velen and Al'Akir aren't bad cards, there just aren't any good top-tier decks at the moment that can properly support them. I can't guarantee that they'll be back in standard, but it's possible.

For now, keep them all.
Wait for standard, and decide in which format will you play (standard or wild) and if they will serve you.
Go play arena and get as much gold and dust as possible (and some packs, but DO NOT dust them, yet)

Thank you all for your thoughts. I've decided to hold on to them for a while longer :)
