A: Specialists are minions who are strong against specific minions and act as effectively as a counter.
Q: Is there a pattern?
A: Yes. Each is an epic 3m 3/2 that is immune to something specific and has a battlecry that takes out the specific threat.
Q: Why make them and how many?
A: I remember reading a post on how instead of BGH, their could be tech minions that counter for specific tribes and archetypes. In total there are currently six, each with a watermark that is fairly appropriate.
Q: What is a Deathrattler and why does Sanctified Purifier silence instead of destroying like the others?
A: Deathrattlers are a shorthand way of saying "Deathrattle minions". The purifier silences instead of destroying because deathrattle minions want to die, silencing them effectively extinguishes their threat in a more meaningful way.
Q: Don't Giants not have a tribe.
A: Just pretend they have the tribal tagline Giant.
Q: Why are these "specialists" immune?
A: They hunt specific minions and are specialists at their craft. Goblin Scavenger for instance is very strong against mechs and mediocre/bad against everything else.
I do like the idea but I don't think any of these cards would see play right now apart from Sanctified Purifier which is very cool.
Like I said, they are meant to be tech cards, similar to a Harrison Jones. Like if GvG was just released now, it would be reasonable to tech into your deck 1-2 Goblin Scavenger as chances are your going to encounter something like Mech Mage. Also thank you for the compliment. :)

Mrghl Mrghl!
Why do u feel the need to emphasize "target" ?? If there is no "random", it is automatically assumed u can target the battlecry/ability/spell :P

Oh that? That is just my old MTG card creation habits. They tend to die hard. :)

Update: Fixed the wording. Couldn't let such a small blemish stay.
Also just for kicks, I decided to add the seventh specialist. :D lol

Really like the theme that each card is immune to and destroys a certain type of minion.
"Just in time."
U might want to change this one as well :)
